The Orangeraie is on the edge of the village of Le Bar sur Loup, ten minutes by car from Grasse. The village originally supplied the perfume factories of Grasse with the raw materials (orange blossoms, violets etc). The cottage was built at the turn of the century for the agricultural workers who picked the orange blossoms, violets and olives. Today not much has changed and the present owners stil

l harvest the oranges and olives ! The cottage is therefore perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway. Although it is secluded, it is only a short walk into the village. The owners are on hand next door to help with any assistance. The rental is on only 30 minutes from the international airport of Nice Côte d'Azur. The towns of Nice, Cannes and Antibes are all approximately 30 minutes drive from Le Bar sur Loup by car. There is also a good bus service to Antibes or Grasse from the village with connections to all the other main towns.

With the roof finished, the really hard work began ! First we built a retaining wall at the back of the cottage and then excavated the garden to create a brand new private sun bathing area next to the pool.

We have been busy over the last year making lots of changes to the cottage, starting with the new roof ! Big thanks to Giordano Toitures in Vallauris and their professional team.
