This magnificent 4 star chalet is ideally located in the village of Chinaillon, in Le Grand Bornand resort, France. Just over an hour form Geneva airport, the chalet provides a self catered holiday home for up to 18 people. The village amenities are a five minute walk away, ideal for the morning baguette runs and walking distance to several excellent restaurants serving traditional local cuisine.
In the winter, you can drive to and ski to the chalet all season and the summer provides a perfectly tranquil spot for walking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, golf, exploring the local towns and villages and some years, even watching the Tour de France mountain stage whizz by. There are countless walking routes to explore the local terrain, all showcasing the beautiful scenery, much of which is a well kept secret, being inaccessible in the winter season. Nearby resorts and towns of particular interest include the beautiful Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Annecy with its stunning views, beautiful old town and magnificent lake. There are regular markets and annual celebrations including entertainment for children such as ice skting rink, high wires in the trees, swimming pool and other activities which bring this resort to life.
To the rear of the chalet, which is south facing, there is a dual aspect 5 metre wide terrace which attracts the sun from early morning to late in the afternoon and is therefore a brilliant sun trap for sunbathing and for eating outside all year round. The evening sun can be appreciated on the front balcony which overlooks the village.
The chalet is equipped and furnished for up to 18 people with a floor plan of 175m² over three floors. On the ground floor there are two family bedrooms, one with a double bed and adult sized bunk beds, and the other with a superking bed, a single bed and adult size bunk beds. There are also two bathrooms and a laundry room on this floor.
