Le Cerisier

Le Cerisier Le Cerisier is a holiday gite in rural 'French' France. Situated on the Normandy Mayenne border, it is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside.

Close by are the picturesque towns of Lassay-Les-Chateaux and Bagnoles de L'Orne. 10 minutes by car is La Forêt des Andaines which has many footpaths for walking, biking and riding. Further a field - but possible for a day trip are the Normandy landing beaches, the town of Bayeaux with its Tapestry and the Chateaux of the Loire. Paris is also possible by TGV from Le Mans. Le Cerisier is being fitt

ed to the highest standard with modern well equipped kitchen, wifi internet access and satellite TV. It has three bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin) and 2 bathrooms, comfortably sleeping 6. Indoor entertainment includes DVD player and a Wii games console. Outside there is a small garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue. So whether your style of holiday is lying in a hammock, reading with a glass of wine, walking/mountain biking/riding in the forest or people watching in a chic pavement cafe - there is something for you. We have almost completed the renovations and hope to be open for bookings this Summer 2012. Time to post a few up-to-date photos of Le Cerisier. It is such a lovely house and was obviously so cherished by previous owners, that there is not a lot to do, but some personal touches make it "ours". Enjoy these pictures of the house and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Hello followers of our page. This is to let you know that Miranda and Mark have now moved on, and we are the new owners of this charming cottage. Thanks to Mark and Miranda for making the transition so easy and giving us lots of tips about living happily in this beautiful part of France. And thanks to to our new friends Rachel and Adrian, who converted Le Cerisier from a forgotten barn to a lovely home some years ago. They too have been so helpful. It is with great sadness that we have decided, due to a change in personal circumstances that the time has come to sell Le Cerisier and let others enjoy the simply extraordinary place that it is.
