Another lovely review from our last guest of the Summer season …

Without a doubt the best Airbnb we've stayed in. There wasn't anything missing and all the small things that can get missed was provided. The gite is in a beautiful area, close enough to the Loire Valley for trips out. So much to see! Boulangerie 5 minutes down he road in a small village. Several towns 20ish minutes away for visits, supermarkets and eating out. The grounds the gite is set in are outstanding and you are able to share the hosts garden for relaxing, sunbathing, etc, The chickens and ducks are an added bonus that will come and have a nosy. There is very little close by, other than a few neighbours, so it is very quiet and peaceful, no traffic or noise to interupt the peace. Own private seating area with comfortable table, chairs and bbq for eating outdoors. The gite itself is very confortable and fitted to a high standard with everything you could ever need to cater for your stay. It was very surprising how cool it kept downstairs, even during 30c sunshine outdoors. Tony and Lloyd are extremely kind, generous and considerate and this shows in the way they have renovated their properties and with what they provide for your stay. The hosts are very helpful and was always available for any advice for places to go and eat out. If we are ever visiting the Loire Valley again, this place will be on our list to stay. There is so much we wanted to see but ran out of time.

NEW for River Cottage Gite - Bike hire!

River Cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring our beautiful countryside. The roads are safe with very few cars and for those of us who aren’t super fit, its flat!

We’ve found the perfect way to get around with these lovely ‘retro’ style bikes. They’re very comfortable and provide an upright riding position to enjoy the wonderful views.

The bikes are available to our Gite guests for a reasonable daily charge and we can also provide a picnic hamper to enjoy along the way xx
