ce but well ….. there was just something special here. So much so, that we decided to look at properties. House after house disappeared from our list of possible contenders until we, one Saturday morning, drove into the medieval village of Monflanquin.

We put in a bid for a small village house and the purchase was made final in November 2010. We had discussed adding an venture like this to our company for years. Instead of passing each other at the front door of our house in Norway we really wanted to do something together. Allan took a year free from playing trumpet with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Kirsten from her Deputy Head teaching responsibilities at a school on the outskirts of Bergen. The dream started to develop. As a musician Allan has toured extensively and knows what is necessary to make any stay, an enjoyable experience. He has also arranged international tours for choirs, bands and orchestras. Running his own production company has led to the creation of many concert projects being performed at various venues around Europe. He also has his own annual conducting school in Holland and leads some of the world's best Brass Bands at various competitions throughout the year. Kirsten is Danish. She has lived and worked in Denmark, America, Norway and now France. She has organized cultural cross over projects in Norway, Denmark and England and also organized Norway's contribution to a huge international schools’ project within COMENIUS. In addition she is a bit of a whizz when it comes to languages and her enthusiasm for anything she does is pure inspiration.
