Did we ever told you about the origin of our 'Jackson Po***ck' chairs..?

Well here it goes.
These two beautiful Bergère chairs, came with the house and I spent hours on it to get the dated green paint off the wood. The fabric was old, discoloured and had red wine spots on it. It had to be renewed.
We just moved to France, hardly spoke a word French and a bit broke. It was not really in the cards to find a re-upholstering shop with those handicaps, so I decided to do it myself. With some Pinterest and YouTube, an Ikea curtain and an 'I can do this because I never had done it before' P**i Longstocking attitude, I did it.
They turned out pretty good and since that day I cherished them like I build the whole dang chair myself.
Then something like a pandemic came around and we had all kinds of cleaning instructions, which ofcourse we followed. Airing the rooms, enough time between check out and in, special washing instructionsa and desinfect door handles, railings, fabric, everything.
I cleaned the whole room. Everything was perfect. My sister even helped me that day. The room was ready to be closed off. I double checked the work of my sister and just before I walked out of the room, I wanted to grab the spray bottle with the special fabric desinfect to spray the grey-blue Bergère chairs.
I did not look, just reached out, touched with my fingers to find the bottle with the sprayhead and sprayed the chair. Before my eyes the dark wet spots did not stay dark but turned visibly in the colour: orange! What had I done? Why did I not check the bottle?! I hardly clean with..bleach!
Why did it end up where it did.
I cried out: 'oh no! Oh noooo!! Oh nooo!!!'
My sister came running up the stairs and asked what happened. I could cry. My stomach turned into stone. I wanted to turn back time. But I couldn't. This was bleach! Guest were coming. I needed the room. Quick thinking. Blanket? Big pillow! Extra cover?
No. I did what I think was right.
I grabbed this bottle of doom, closed my eyes and as mister Po***ck himself I sprayed the second chair like it was an art piece to be discovered by the world..
