💥 “So let’s dive into this 2017 L’Épée”
🌈 We are very honoured and delighted to be the subject of a deep dive from Allison as she tastes our Épée 2017. To say she knows her stuff is an understatement!
🍷 We personally feel that the wine industry is at a crossroads: more and more people are choosing to give up wine and small growers are facing more and more challenges (environmentally, administratively, etc). It has never been more difficult to make wine and sell wine than in this day and age. Unfortunately, with climate change, we are expecting it will only get more challenging.
⭐️ So we can say without hesitation that listening to Allison’s deep dive was actually so heartwarming. Allison takes the time to know the place, the history, the terroir, the grapes, the wines, the people. She is like a terroir detective and we know her happy place is with a winegrower, the vines, and a shovel! She pieces together knowledge and communicates it in such a vibrant and enthusiastic way.
💕 She has been driven by this beautiful project, Cab Franc Chronicles, out of a love for a grape. Even when a year is difficult, she can see the labour and the potential of the juice behind the bottle.
