🇮🇹So, why did the Leaning Tower of Pisa, thanks to its tilted shape, become so popular?
Three different architects built this tower, as much as 300 years.
The first architect built the first 3 tiers, after which the tower tilted due to the soft ground. And all because, once there were swamps. The first architect did not finish building the tower, because at that time people were sentenced to death for any mistakes.
The second architect built 4 more tiers, but at an angle to the opposite - to the left side. The tower leaned even more to the right.
And the third architect built the top parallel to the ground. As a result, if you look closely, you can notice different slopes of the tiers. Many argue that the tower resembles a banana with its curve. 🇮🇹Initially, the tower was conceived by the architect as a bell tower for the temple. And 500 years ago, the inhabitants of Pisa hated this tower, considered the tower ugly. Today it's the other way around. The tower is considered one of the most famous landmarks in all of Italy. Every year, a huge number of tourists travel to Pisa to admire the beauty, which brings huge profits. 🇮🇹I liked the tower very much, in life it is huge, there is an observation deck at the top, of course, paid. I think this tower has a special charm. Her imperfection became her own highlight and dignity.
