Ideal for families or couples looking for an active holiday or restful getaway. The area can cater to a wide variety of interests. We are a stones throw away from popular cycle routes and 200m from the Dordogne river, perfect for canoeing, kayaking or fishing. Our two local villages of Carlux and St Julien de Lampon have restaurants, bars, bakeries, general stores, chemist, post offices, churches and even a castle. A large supermarket is just a short drive to the local town of Souillac. Fancy something a bit more relaxed? Take a wander around the many beautiful medieval towns within a short drive and sample the food and wine the region is famous for: duck, foie gras and walnut (twice a week Sarlat hosts a large public market, take the opportunity to bring back some local produce and have dinner in the comfort of your own farmhouse style kitchen, or a bbq al fresco enjoying the scenic countryside.
