- North African Kosher Patisserie, famous for their sweets for over 60 years.

- Biggest fresh mar

ket in Paris where the locals and immigrants go to shop.

- Coffee tasting from a boutique roaster with the history of France's complicated relationships between cafe and coffee.

- Visits to the green countryside villages for visiting artisan local producers just 30 mins from central Paris. Come live like a real Parisian, and explore and taste, everything this city has to offer. What a wonderful story - the Michelin guide confused the two restaurants with the same name (the name means 'works of mouth' in English) and awarded a workman's cafe the star! Has a happy ending though - I still think I'd prefer the workman's caf!

A workmen’s café in central France was overwhelmed with gourmet customers and TV crews after it was awarded a Michelin star by mistake.

The 'Paris-Brest' is a famous French pastry that consists of choux pastry and praline flavoured cream and is absolutely delicious! Round in shape, it was originally created in honour of the Paris to Brest bike race in 1910, hence made in the shape of a bicycle tyre! The creator was the owner of a small patisserie in the historic town of Maisons-Laffitte, just west of Paris that the race was passing thru. Today, 4 generations of the Durand family still make it to the original recipe and it's just as delicious!! A tour of Maisons Laffitte and its historic Chateau and forest is just one of the tours we offer to help you explore off the beaten track in Paris. Message us to book your gourmet tour now!

What's the oldest alcohol or wine you have ever tried? This is certainly a record for us - home made Calvados (traditional French Apple brandy from lower Normandy) bottled by a friends grandfather in 1945!! Yes, apples from the year of liberation...forgotten in the back of a cellar, I was very lucky to taste this 71year old mellow but sweet liquid gold and marvellous it was, especially with some local artisan-butcher made fois gras!
