Symphonic Holidays orchestra & travel for amateur musicians from around the world Our daily rehearsals culminate in a concert performance at the end of the vacation.

With Symphonic Holidays you will have the opportunity to play at an advanced level in an amateur orchestra while enjoying your holiday in relaxing and inviting places in Southern Europe. We combine the comforts of Mediterranean life with our essential mission: to bring together people who share a passion for music. Our projects are challenging. They require an advanced level of instrumental profic

iency and experience in orchestra playing. But we are also aware that some amount of challange drives developement. The orchestral parts will be made available to you in advance to familiarize yourself with them. We want you to enjoy the music! If you have doubts whether a project is suitable for you, then please do not hesitate to contact us. We will help you find the project that gives you the most satisfaction. The projects will be multilingual with participants and team members coming from different countries. A basic command of English is recommended.

Dear Facebook Friends,

my personal Facebook account and the account of Symphonic Holidays will be deleted soon.

More than 300 amateur players from around the world have been on Symphonic Holidays since we started with this kind of musical vacations in 2017, and most of the participants have come multiple times. Spreading the word by these players amongst their friends in music has become the principal way how new players find us and can join our holiday orchestras. This is all based on the experience of individual participants and their personal account to their friends.

Already 160 amateur players from around the world have booked one of our courses this year, but we still have a few vacancies:

Cefalù 2nd – 11th May 2025: One bassoon, brass and each one violin, viola and cello
Bardou 28th May – 8th June 2025: One horn and trumpet, two violins
Cefalù 3rd – 12th October 2025: One oboe, one trombone, timpani, strings
Orvieto 17th – 25th: One bassoon, trumpets, trombones, piano / celesta, violins

We provide opportunities for keen amateurs to play in an orchestra while enjoying a holiday in relaxing and inviting places in Southern Europe. We combine the comforts of Mediterranean life with our essential mission: to bring together people who share a passion for music. Our daily rehearsals, assisted by professional coaches for the sectionals, culminate in a concert performance at the end of the vacation.

We want to maintain a high musical standard for keen amateur players. An advanced level of instrumental proficiency and experience in orchestra playing is required. But we are also aware that some amount of challenge drives development. The orchestral parts will be made available to you in advance to familiarize yourself with them. We want you to enjoy the music!
