Exhibit at of a Brasilian artiste . She came to Paris in 1920 and signed up at Academie Julian, and became one of the rare female modern art artist. I admire the way she can convey movements just with a few strokes.

Indonesia in Paris. An exhibit of Wayang kulit at . It's carved out buffalo leather for the shadow theater. The drawing shows a performance for the occasion of the baby who is going to put his first steps on the ground. In the 'clouds' deities look on. Apparently this museum has 30.000 Indonesian objects in its collection. The man is who makes modern puppets.

Ossip Zadkine has his own museum in Paris, his former house and workshop . As so many artists in the beginning of the 20th century he was attracted to , where he stayed for the rest of his life. There is an exhibit at the moment of there, quite nice. But as I was looking up on Zadkine, I read that he married an artist Valentine Prax. But as usual nothing else can be found on her.... because she was as woman. She must have made some nice artwork as well I think.. I hope.
