REVIEWS WANTED to colour up my weekend ☀️🤗

Lifesparkz Bike Tours https://g.page/r/CZEpfVn_g8qOEBM/review

Landing in Copenhagen for a long weekend I am taken back to the grey of greys that this country often has to offer in November 🇩🇰

I am soon getting a Lifesparkz Bike Tours website make-over 🥳🥳🥳🥳 and have been kindly encourages by my kind developers to work some on my Google reviews to make the page stand more out in searches!! (I know, I know…)

I am always most happy about all the imidiate in person feedback I get when we have been on a tour - but:

! Please 🙏🏻 I will appreciate if you have been on a tour with me at some point since 2016 to create one. I will appreciate it very much and it will lighten up these grey days in my mother country Denmark, where the days may be cold but the ♥️s are warm.

Thank you 🤗

SO MUCH RAIN!

My head is still spinning around the impressions from last week’s cycling on the Spanish side of the Mediterrean. Today I will pedal along the French riviera coast which will be full of traffic and miss the quiet from these mountain roads.

My thoughts are with the people in the areas a bit South from la Costa Daurada around Valencia who is struggling flooding 🥲

Fighting climate change can feel overwhelming but we can choose a bike ride over a car ride for short distance transport or discovering new areas 🍀

On the French side we also had flooding in the Var region this past weekend. One man in his 40s died and a lot of people were evacuated.

The rain in this time of the year is needed for the water reserves but the infrastructure was not build for the amounts that we currently get!

In the Alpes-Maritimes the rain was not as bad this time, although we get smaller land slides and blocks falling on to the roads when the soil cannot swallow the immense amounts of water.

Let me introduce you to Jofre, who will be your guide when you come cycling in La Costa Daurada, Spain! 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️

Lifeparkz is back on the Catalunian side of the Mediterranean sea for a week of cycling and meeting up with collaborators.

Jofre took me out for a stunning ride through the Priorat hills and the lower mountains near Cambrils.

Sometimes it is good to try out your own juice! Cycling with a local specialist in the area makes a whole different experience than trying to create and follow some Strava route! Great pleasure to relax and make an expert take care of route planning, guiding it and introduce you to histories of the area.

Jofre is a catalan former professional cyclist and now a cycling coach with his company 101percent.training. A few years ago he cycled in the peloton with a certain Pablo Castrillo and is now a trainer for cyclists on all levels including pro team riders like from Redbull Bora-Hansgrohe and Italian teams.

Plus he is a nice guy who makes you feel that you are almost as strong as him 😂

I was happy to be the one in the wheel for once making someone else taking the lead and wind!! 😅

We agree that the Costa Daurada offers so much interesting cycling - even more than around cycling famous Girona in Catalonia - as here you have much more climbs near your starting point, hardly any traffic (so quiet!) and beautiful scenery!!

Get in touch to create a bike adventure just a little South of Barcelona for the Spring season 🏄🏽‍♀️

Jofre guides road bike and MTB (andvanced level MTB as the terrain is for technical downhill).

It is the change of seasons at the Côte d’Azur🎄and it is easy to feel a bit confused. One day it is raining so much so it feels like Danish Summer, schools get closed and society is set at a hault - The next day the sun and Foehn wind is out in an Indian Summer day with 25c.

The mayor in my village apparently decided that it is time to prepare for Christmas and put the decorations out today.

The cycling touring season 2024 comes to an end for the most part while I start dreaming about cycling adventures to create in 2025 in the Mediterrean region with its mild and sometimes intense climate.

Where do you want to go? 🚲

Riding the hairpins on the Villefranche side up Col d’Eze with Ella this week. Ella is the chairperson of PACT (physical activity after cancer treatment), who took part of the group visiting this week. She is strong as an ox while she takes on a new challenge and knows that the key to mountain challenges is following your own pace and find your own rhythm!

You can tell a lot about a person by getting to know how they approach cycling, cycling in a group in a new area and cycling a mountain. Ella has a lot of endurance which is probably one of the reasons why she has been a PACT ambassador for so long - she has been a part of PACT since it started as a research project in 2007 under Rigshospitalet in Denmark and she was recovering from breast cancer treatment.

On our Col d’Eze day, she was wearing a jersey from the Mallorca climb Sa Calobre that she has done on several of her travels to Mallorca with PACT.

PACT each year travels to Mallorca for cycling in collaboration with another initiative for cancer patients, La Flamme Rouge. La Flamme Rouge each year covers 15 cancer patients’ travel to the Mallorca cycling trip with PACT. La Flamme Rouge was founded by former Danish rider and Sports Director Brian Holm and Phd physiotherapist Morten Quist from PACT Rigshospitalet.

Team Change hører under DBC Ballerup.

Cycling after cancer treatment.

This exclusive group of former cancer patients and their spouses came to explore the cycling around Villefranche-sur-Mer/ Nice this past weekend.

They are members of the Danish organisation PACT - Physical Activity after Cancer Treatment, which is a community of people, who have been or are in treatment for cancer, and meet to do various physical activities together.

Cycling is one activity and the cyclists each year organise different trips abroad to travel and cycle together.

Lifesparkz Bike Tours helped to organise accommodation in Villefranche-sur-Mer, bike rental and created and guided 3 beautiful days in the lower mountains of les Alpes-Maritimes with lunch stops at village restaurants.

We rode to St. Jeannet, Tourettes-sur-Loup, climbed the category 1 climb Col d’Eze (photo), cruised next to Ferraris and Porches in many colours through Monaco and visited a few mountain villages in the back country of Nice where we explored exquisit fauna and food. Such as white donkeys and desserts made from freshly picked figue.

What is special about this group is not really cancer as a main talking point (it isn’t really) but a mere knowing that everyone has been through a hard time of cancer treatment - or has been a close relative to someone in treatment - and a support to each other in fully embracing life. These guys let other people be as we are with all our quirkyness and unique traits while focusing on the positive sides of life.

Such as exploring and living new places by bike 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏼🚴🏻‍♀️.

It has been a pleasure to take part in making PACT cycling in Nice happen.

Lifesparkz’s very first tour guided in Portuguese hosting Sergio from Brazil 🇧🇷on a beautiful ride up Col d’Eze... or rather guided in a mix of the bits and pieces of English that Sergio knows and Spanish that I know, and a bit of help of AI generated translating apps.

We came a long way by cycling through this landscape, which speaks for itself, body language - and the translations of Sergio’s wife in the beginning and end of the tour, which overruled AI 200%!! :-)

“It was the most beautiful ride in my life and if I lived here, I would ride here everyday”, she translated for me when we had finished. Quite touching coming from someone, who has riden bikes in Brazil for 40 years!

Thank you again for facilitating this day on the bikes 🚴‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️.

Lots of cycling, lots of networking, lots of great food, lots of laughter, lots of business talk.

4 days in the Var guiding the “rosé” team through wine fields and taking part in Renault Trucks Denmark and DKT Auto’s networking event with their business partners and customers.

Making the transport sector better world wide by offering a first class electrified truck fleet is a part of the Renault Truck’s business goals - making the clients and users engaged in this by building good relations through personal contact and getting to know their businesses and needs during a few days of socialising around cycling, golf, coffee- and lunch breaks in the pretty hills near Draguignan.

It was a pleasure to help you making it happen.

See you next time! 🚴🏼🏌🏽‍♂️🎈🇩🇰🇫🇷

We are heading into another peak of cycling activities by the end of this month. Although it is good for business to be fully booked, I still like to help visitors to find their way out on bikes even if I cannot guide them in this perfect season for cycling in the Côte d'Azur.

That is why it is time to remind you of a free small booklet with route descriptions that I created some time ago for those, who would like to venture out on their own from Nice.

It is an e-book/pdf file that you can download for free from Lifesparkz' webpage.

Here you get descriptions of 7 iconic routes in a short-medium distance from Nice. It covers short-medium distance routes from Nice. (30-75 km, max 800m+)

Have fun! 😎

C’est la rentrée!! As you say here in France when the long Summer holiday is over and you must get back to school and work 🚲🌸🌸 After spending some cool and sociable weeks in the country where we happy Danes believe in rainbows and unicorns, yours truly cycling promoter is back in the Côte d’Azurian office 🌴

It did not cool down, but got squatted by food mites 🪳who seemed to think they were my holiday substitues? I fired them on the spot as they turn out to be sh*tty cyclists 🤯

We turn into September soon and this is really an update on Lifesparkz’ availabilities in the time to come 🎉💥🇫🇷🇪🇸🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏼

SEPTEMBER is already pretty booked as a lot of Danish jolly cycling groups come for various events in the Alpes-Maritimes and Var 🇩🇰

But if you come for a day ride or two before 14.9 we can figure it out 🇫🇷

OCTOBER I have some openings in 🇫🇷 during the first weeks before, I head off to

🇪🇸 by mid-October. If you get and idea of cycling with your group of friends in Catalonia during that time and look for an event, please get in touch as I will be around to create nice cycling in the stunning La Costa Daurada together with local guides and the best sport accomodation around!

NOVEMBER is quite open at the moment although I may get back to the city that is a heaven for cyclists again to cruise the Copenhagen cycling high ways and plan for next years adventures 🤗

As usual, please get in touch if you need my help to organise a day or two with local guides in the Nice area even if I am away. Guides in my network are happy to help 💫

Amir won a 30th place at the Olympic’s Time Trial Men’s race today 👏👏👏 He has a message:
“Help each other. It does not matter if that other person is a refugee or not. Your help can change the whole life of the other person, just like it did for me”

When 24-year-old Amir got the official call from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) informing him that he would be part of the 2024 Refugee Olympic Team, he could hardly believe what he was hearing. Since he fled to Sweden and started cycling, only eight years earlier, he had dreamed of one d...

The Grand Arrivé of Tina’s Tour de France took place this morning in Nice. Together with a Peloton of a sporty family who united in France from their different locations the US, Team Lifesparkz made a pleasant morning minor mountain étape while benefiting from the morning shade.

The Peloton cheered in Champagne of birds’ singing on the small roads a few km from the city center that take you to picturesque village Aspremont, on roads that paved the way in the Real Tour de France in 2020 🇫🇷.

We made a loop and cruised back by a pleasant descent via Tourette-Levens and through a minor section of crazy morning traffic into Nice city center where they are rebuilding the city in a transformation to creating greener spaces in town 🌳.

Every jersey were present and we applauded each other for finishing the final stage of this year’s tour before the Summer heat kicked in for the day 🚵‍♀️🚵🏽 🥵 and perhaps in time for the American peloton to have a nap before they go to cheer for the USA football women at the Olympics tonight 🏵️

Now Tina’s Tour de France and Tour de Femmes 2024 has come to an end. It has been some intense weeks full of good experiences by bike. Meeting new and old cycling friends and taking part in the Biggest professional cycling event in the world 🦁 Congratulations to all riders! You did a fantastic job 👏.

Happy summer out there. I will take a break now, rest the legs a little and my poor Scandinavian skin looks forward to recovering in time out of the ☀️

In yesterday’s 5th étape of Tina’s Tour de France de Femmes, the breakaway Teri and Tina started in the morning for a lower mountain stage that would challenge Teri’s legs which normally cycle around Texas in flat lands 🚴🏻‍♀️

Teri had improved her cycling quite a bit since they last were in a peloton together in 2018 in Nice. It had helped that she had retired!!

The breakaway took on the climb up to one of the mediaval villages near the Var river called Gattières, where the soigneurs at the bakery were ready to deliver cool drinks and some bread for the road.

Fueled by a juice and 🥐, the breakaway cruised via the villages St. Jeannet and Sant-Paul de Vence in the hills around Vence back to the seaside where they met the finish line at the Promenade des Anglais 👏🦁🦁

Teri got so happy about cycling in the mountains that she promised to come back to Tour de France de Femmes 2025!

23/07/2024

The 4th étape of Tina’s Tour de France took place yesterday, where in fact it was the Grand Départ of Tina’s Tour de Femmes 🚴🏻‍♀️

This étape with Mrs. Beverly was a reunion ride and a Menton-San Remo/ retour ride in one. (Villefranche-San Remo/ retour for Tina). The two Northerner teammembers met in 2018 when Tina guided Beverly on a Col de la Madone tour.

This time, Mrs. Beverly was happy to discover whatever would be good on the day, and Captain Tina lead out an Italian Riviera Cruise with a mid-mountain-challenge at Poggio! The Poggio climb is a big deal in the Milan-San Remo classic. To be honest, it is less of a deal, when you have not raced 300km first 💥

The heat was heavy on the riders and the bodies needed fuel for cooling, so the team was delighted to make a good break and a taste of Original Italian Canelloni and Lasagna - plus a lot of cold drinks 😋🇮🇹

The cycling tunnel in San Remo was also a refreshing section as it felt like cycling in a cooler - ah! 😅

The super nice and gentle cruise and pasta ride was a great way to catch up on life events from the past years and enjoying the scenery and Italian riviera towns. The small compact Italian cars were really a great change from cycling among the huge bling bling show-off cars that take up a lot of space on French Riviera roads!

We have a few more étapes of the current Tour de France this week until team Lifesparkz can escape from the strong Summer sun and cool off in the Nordic.
