Beautiful Angoulême. Set on a hillside, about 1hr, 20mins from us. Choose to brunch in the market, before wandering through pretty streets and fabulous architecture. Time to sample the café culture before heading back.

For a local boutique shopping experience, @lolita.and.company is definitely worth a visit! Just 5 or 10 mins from us. Beautiful clothes, accessories and gifts, all wrapped with care! Yes.....I just had to make a purchase....or two 😊

Under an hour away from Le Clone gite lies Cognac! Highly recommend a tour of Chateau Baron Otard. Open all year round, this was the first Cognac producer and the chateau is full of history! Come rain or shine, there's always wine... All things wine are brought to life in the City du Vin! An interactive indoor attraction, with a small dégustation opportunity in the bar at the top with views over Bordeaux. There's also a restaurant, a bar brasserie, a wine shop and a boutique for a souvenir or more! #wine #bordeaux

Our favourite local place for fresh vegetables! From the gite, head to St Ramée and just towards the main road at the other side. Open Wed and Sat mornings.

A favourite beach bar, just 40 mins from us at le Clône. @bikkibeach . This could be tropical!
