Two bedroomed holiday cottage with woodburner to sleep up to 4 adults located in an idyllic location on cardigan bay. Ddol Cottage is located on a smallholding with three friendly donkeys just outside the village of Plwmp. Situated just minutes from the hidden cove of Cwmtydu, and the blue flag beaches of Llangrannog and New Quay. New Quay is famous for being the home of Dylan Thomas and a town trail allows you to discover the many places featured in his play, under milk wood. From here, you can also take boat trips to see the abundant wildlife of cardigan bay including the bottlenose dolphins and seals along the coast and around cwmtydu bay. The beautiful harbour town of Aberaeron is just 9 miles away with its famous honey ice cream and attractive colourful houses surrounding the harbour. 12 miles to the south is Cardigan with its newly restored castle, St Dogmaels with its historic abbey and the blue flag beach of Poppit Sands. The county and university town of Aberystwyth is just 25 miles north and has a wide range of shops and attractions such as the Vale of Rheidol steam railway, the national library and the cliff railway. The cottage is fully equipped for a comfortable stay with 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. You are welcome to bring a toddler up to the age of 2 (max 4 persons in total) and a travel cot and highchair can be provided. There is a spacious lounge with woodburner and dining area, Shower room and a fully equipped Kitchen. Outside, there is a patio area with table and chairs with an enclosed garden for younger children and a larger paddock to the rear to explore and play games. Children young and old are welcome to feed the donkeys ginger biscuits and carrots and also help to groom them. Start days are Friday to Friday however we are happy to take short breaks or amend start days to suit, please contact us to check availability.
