As I enter my fifth season as a celebrant I have been reflecting on how lucky I have been to be in the right place at the right time to enjoy a whole new era of career.

We have been celebrating Christmas and New Year in Egypt with both our boys. One of the highlights of the trip for me was hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise with the three most important people in my life.

Looking forward to making new memories with you all in 2025. One of the unexpected happinesses of being a celebrant is being fairy godmother to all the new babies, keep em coming!

I can’t believe how hard I worked today whilst soaking up some Vitamin D. Next step is to organise some advertising for Finding A Celebrant on the Alderney Train, just has to be done doesn’t it?!

We are digital nomading until the new year and loving being the worlds oldest backpackers! I spotted a beautifully decorated breakfast table yesterday and complimented the maitre-d. Lo and behold look what appeared for our dinner table! 30th year of marriage and Tim’s still delighted/ bemused (delete as appropriate) by my eccentricities! Note the fork balancing.
Happy to do zooms or emails if you want to book a date for 2025…. Or beyond.

Celebrations of Life.

When I first trained as a Civil Celebrant I was often asked if I would also be conducting funerals and Celebrations of Life (Memorial Services). Initially I said no as I felt that it was important to concentrate on weddings, to provide my undivided attention to each couple and to grow strong roots for my business.

Now that I have completed four very enjoyable and successful seasons as a wedding celebrant I am officially adding Celebrations of Life to my ceremony portfolio. It has been a real honour to be asked by a number of families to lead ceremonies for their family members and I hope that my friendly, caring and approachable nature has helped them navigate a difficult time in their lives.

As with my wedding ceremonies, a Celebration of Life is tailored entirely to your wishes. They can be as simple, or as elaborate as you require, I will help you to make choices that fit and reflect your loved one.
