Congratulations to the Steam Rally team for pulling off what must be a record crowd for the event yesterday ( Monday) at Shanes Castle. I understood there were a few access problems at around the middle of the day and queues for food were big. But I think overall the crowd enjoyed a very entertaining 'country day out'.
For the Game Fair 25-26 June we have contingency plans in place although we do things differently in terms of entrance, parking and use of the whole area and in terms of catering. We currently spread the catering over FOUR main catering areas not two but we will also look at additional catering points. In addition as we have several competitive events running - competitors and supporters arrive earlier and the crowd is spread.
HOWEVER the public can help us and themselves by also arriving as early as possible. We really do provide a full day's entertainment and avoiding the peak 12.30 to 14.00 slot makes it easier for everyone and for a more enjoyable day.
