Me - "You don't reward behaviours, if you do you potentially limit your people to that behaviour and that behaviour may not always work in an ever changing environment. Create a measurable finish line for success and place a reward two steps beyond it, that way the focus is on delivery and momentum continues beyond the finish line"

Some PTI’s and health professionals inadvertently generate a lack of focus, a lack of commitment, a lack of engagement simply by using the wrong words at the wrong time with their clients. Signs and symptoms of inner peace:

watch for signs of peace, the hearts of a great many have already been exposed to it and it seems likely that we could find out society experiencing it in epidemic proportions, which then of course, could pose a serious threat to what has up to now seemed a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world:

1 - Tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than from fears based on past experiences
2 - An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment
3 - Loss of interest in judging other people
4 - Loss of interest in judging self
5 - Loss of interest in interpreting actios of others
6 - Loss of interest in conflict
7 - Loss of ability to worry *this is a very serious symptom
frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
8 - Contented feeling of connectedness with others and nature
9 - Frequent attacks of smiling through the eyes, from the heart
10 - Increasing tendancy to let things happen rather than make them happen
11 - increase in susceptibility to love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

WARNING!

If you have all or even most of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of PEACE may be so far advanced as being incurable!

If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting several of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk. this condition of PEACE is probably at it's most infectious stage.

Just after the price of petrol goes up, people are motivated to panic buy. The potential impact of this is that the value we place on petrol is distorted and we stop talking about the price increase. The government receive a much needed cash injection through fuel tax and when they negotiate us out of a tanker driver strike we are grateful, they can only win. What do you think?

I was coaching a Bosnian business man yesterday. He had left his country in the height of civil war at a young age and fled to New Zealand where he studied and worked. He is now in the UK and doing very well. Since arriving he has put every one of his nieces, nephews and cousins children through university, and has led a frugal life himself. I asked him why and this was his response "If you don't make the lives of those following you better than yours, if you don't create opportunity and support growth, what is the point".
