Our Self-Guided Kingussie to Loch Insh River Trip is a great option for those with a little paddle sport experience and wanting to explore a bit further afield.,

We will transport you and the equipment up to Kingussie where you will cruise your way back, over 3-5 hours along a tranquil section of the Spey River.🏞

Remember take a picnic to enjoy a stop along the way.🥪

This trip can be done in either a Canoe, Paddle board or Kayak the choice is yours 🙌

We also offer this a guided trip with a qualified instructor who will guide you back to the loch whilst teaching you some paddle techniques and a bit about the local wildlife including our resident beavers🦫🦆🦅

Birnam is a fabulous stop just off the A9. A lovely, peaceful walk, perfect to stretch the legs and refresh if it's a long journey. A very old Oak Tree, beautiful river and Beatrix Potter Garden. Dunkeld, the village just along the road has a variety of little shops and places to eat aswell!

What a stat to the season! I have....
✅️ fixed the kitchen extractor
✅️ painted walls
✅️ built new shelves
✅️ put up lovely new curtains
✅️ painted fences & shed
✅️ weeded many weeds
✅️ planted many plants
✅️ piano wood treated
✅️ drained the washing machine to find a kids hair clip blocking the pipe (it was not happy).
✅️ laundry, laundry and more laundry

Heading North to Aviemore anytime soon? A fantastic leg stretch awaits at the Falls of Bruar. A lower loop and a higher one for more adventurous walkers. I was super lucky, at 4.30pm nobody else was there. It's a brilliant stop on the way back, being one hour from Aviemore. Great toilet facilities and for those that can't walk there are plenty of food options to enjoy. Fish & Chips, Ice Creams and sit down meals. For me, it's all about the views and peace. Parking is safe, free and plentiful.

Many visitors to Holiday House Kinveachy. Aviemore. Scotland come from other countries. Often flying into/out of Glasgow with a visit to the City.

Here we display photographs from our own visit this week to Glasgow's unique and historic Mackintosh Willow Tea Rooms and Exhibition. Also a few snaps from the Magnificent Kelvingrove Art Galleries. Super fun!

A busy weekend! We hadn't planned an Aviemore trip, but a customer cancelled last minute. So, we got to work cutting back trees and painting exterior woodwork (big job!)
The kids were fab, patiently waiting the bike rides and sweet shop visit. Cycle route 7 is always a winner! Whoops we missed the flying Scotsman which was actually in town! 🙈 nobody tell the children!

Did you know the Aviemore Orbital path is just behind Holiday House Kinveachy. Aviemore. Scotland? No need to go on a road. Walk or cycle into Aviemore. We really enjoyed stopping at different playparks, a quick nip to tesco for some playing cards, and a scenic route back. Love Aviemore!
