Costa Brava - with its rugged landscape, medieval villages, vineyards and beaches, it leaves its guests with plenty do to and explore. Take a look at the below (don’t forget to hit the save button)

📍 Calella de Palafrugell - with its clear shallow waters and blue flag beach, it’s a must visit in Costa Brava. Whitewashed buildings line the seafront and fishing boats lay upon the shore. This charming seaside town is tucked away into a peaceful cove, where low key is the way of life.

📍Cap de Creus nature reserve - Costa Brava’s national parks are a huge favourite and this park is one of the most popular. With its dramatic cliff tops and views that spread as wide as you can see, it’s no wonder why.

📍Begur - with its colourful historic quarter, a 15th-century hilltop castle and a coastline that takes in views of the Mediterranean, it’s no wonder that it holds the spot one of the most beautiful towns in Costa Brava.

📍 Mas Molla Winery - with some of the most acclaimed wineries in Spain, surely it’s worth a visit to this one? I mean it would be rude not to sample a glass or two. This is a family run winery, still using some of the oldest farming methods in the region.

📍Hike the Cami de Ronda - one of the most known hiking routes, this coastal hike almost runs the entire length of Costa Brava. With its stunning landscapes this route can be done 365 days a year! It will challenge you - so be prepared!

Come take a look at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our little USA trip.

It’s a beautiful beach front hotel over looking the Pacific Ocean, it has a lovely Spanish vibe to it and as soon as you enter the resort you feel very relaxed. The staff here are lovely and very friendly - they made our stay very pleasurable.

We had a king room with sea view and the views didn’t disappoint! A cute little balcony, where you can sit out and what the sunset.

It has 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds to choose from, a gorgeous spa, where we both treated ourselves to an amazing massage and well equipped gym. There are plenty of food options that even cater for Gluten free (that’s a whole other story).

Our only gripe - it was cold, didn’t get above 18 degrees while we were here but hey, what can we do about that 🤷‍♀️ we still had the best time and would highly recommend this hotel.

Our LA itinerary with our personal views.

We stayed in the Hollywood area for 3 nights and this is what we got up to:

📌 Griffith Observatory - definitely worth the visit (but try and plan it on a clear day), you can see for miles and the views are spectacular. You also get a great view of the Hollywood sign from here. We took an Uber up and then walked back down. It’s a little steep in places, so if you do walk make sure you have good footwear on.

📌 Rodeo Drive - where do you go shopping in LA? Rodeo drive baby! Or in our case we just strolled round, had a bite to eat and people watched instead. But if you love to shop and shop big, this is the place for you.

📌 LAFC - The Los Angeles Football club - if you are in the area and a game is on, you just go and see them in action. The fans are something else, they do NOT stop signing from start to finish and they are loud. I loved it!

📌 Venice Beach - you can’t come to LA without going here. Venice beach has this vibe to it, there is a lot going on here. Skateboarding, basketball games and of course the gym (Muscle Beach).You can hire a bike, scooter, skates or walk to Santa Monica Pier from here.

📌 Santa Monica - with its amusement park on the pier, lots of places to shop, eat and chill as you watch the world go by. We walked down to here and had a spot of lunch and just loved the vibe here.

These were just a few of our favourite places we visited in LA and would recommend for you to visit too.

Our Vegas itinerary - with our honest opinions: we were here for 4 days, we did a little more than the below but it’s a good start for people who aren’t bothered too much by gambling. (I mean we did have a little flutter - it is Vegas after all)

📌 Hoover Dam - definitely worth the drive out and only 30 or so mins away from the strip. Located on the boarders of Nevada and Arizona. We didn’t do the tour, we drove up to one of the highest points above to take it all in and then walked across it.

📌Cirque Du Soleil - Mystere: we’ve seen 3 shows previously (all different) but none of them were as great as the first show we saw in London years ago. Although a good show here, with some great acrobatics- this show was a little tame. There are other shows by Cirque Du Soleil here so maybe worth checking those out.

📌The Strat Observation deck - you have e to come here just to look back up and see how big the strip is. Also to look out at the surrounds of Vegas. Some amazing views from here. (If you like some adrenaline in your like, you can opt to do the sky jump here at an extra cost)

📌Grand Canyon Helicopter tour - it’s pricy but so worth it! We were picked up from our hotel, drove to Boulder City, which is about a 30 min drive away, to a little airport. Here we met our pilot and he flew us to the Canyon. It took about 35 minutes to reach, we landed in the canyon, had a little picnic and some champagne, took some amazing photos - had a moment to take it all in and then we flew back.

📌 Hells Kitchen - it’s a great experience and the food was amazing. The service was on point here too. As expected it is on the pricy side but if you have a special occasion it’s worth it.

We are staying at the Vdara hotel and Spa - it’s one if the very few that doesn’t have its own casino. I picked this hotel so that we could step back from the craziness of Las Vegas and have a quiet moment to ourselves.

This is the Executive corner suite - it has a lounge area, dining room table and small kitchen - you then walk through to a separate bedroom that then leads on to a huge bathroom, which a separate shower and bath, double sink and separate toilet.

But … having been to this particular one in Manchester we had to try it out in London.Tattu; “it has been designed with the utmost respect for superb craftsmanship and in pursuit of providing the finest experiential dining” We had the best time here for our 10th wedding Anniversary. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and to top it off they even made us our very own fortune cookies. 🥠 Here we have the Royal Koi Fish Gau and sticky beef short ribs - it was so tasty!
