🌟 What an incredible day exploring Battambang! 🌟

Our morning was filled with vibrant local culture as we roamed through bustling markets, watched skilled noodle makers at work, and sampled delicious rice wine from the locals. All this excitement was made even more fun traveling via Tuk Tuk❤️
The adventure didn’t stop there! In the afternoon, we hopped onto the bamboo train, where the unique experience took us through picturesque landscapes.

We then visited the haunting Killing Caves of Phnom Sampeau, a stark reminder of the Khmer Rouge era, located southwest of Battambang. Witnessing the mass bat exodus from the caves was a sight to behold—nature’s spectacle at its finest!

It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, filled with adventure and cultural immersion.

Can’t wait for more experiences to come!✨

🌅 A Day of Reflection and Beauty in Cambodia🌅

Today was a profound journey through history and nature. I started my day at the Killing Fields, a place that serves as a haunting reminder of the past. Walking through the grounds, I felt a deep sense of sorrow and respect for the lives lost. The memorial stupa filled with skulls is a powerful symbol of the resilience of the Cambodian people. The stories of survival and loss are told with heart-wrenching honesty. It was a stark reminder of the importance of remembering our history to ensure it never happens again. The exhibits were extremely moving .

After such a heavy morning, I took to the water for a sunset cruise. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, I felt a sense of hope. The beauty of the Cambodian landscape reminded me that even after darkness, there is always light.

Feeling grateful for these experiences and the lessons learned. 🇰🇭❤️

Landed smoothly in Singapore and connected to Phnom Penh, where I rested up before heading out to explore straight after dinner. ❤️

I am staying at Palace Hotel & Residence in the center of Phnom Penh located near the Royal Palace with spacious rooms, all amenities, and an in-room kitchen. 🏙✨

Last night, lovely traditional dinner at the Banana Tree Restaurant and then headed to Sky Bar just to take in the views 🌆

Today, early start here and I am visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, learning about the tragic history of the Khmer Rouge.
Next, we paid our respects at the Choeung Ek Killing Fields, where a stupa filled with over 8,000 human skulls stands as a powerful memorial. 🕊️

Later this afternoon, I will head out for a hotel inspection followed by a sunset cruise.❤️
