Lots of preparation for the Spring Plant Fair at RHS Garden Bridgewater 1st-2nd April 1-am-5pm
Organised with Plant Heritage North West, find inspiration this spring in the Middle Wood event marquee, where a selection of Northern nurseries will sell a range of beautiful and unusual spring plants.
Nurseries taking part include:
Alchemy Ferns – Established in 1997, this small family-run nursery from the outskirts of York and its love of ferns has seen them dedicate the whole nursery to selling hardy ferns and fern trees
Craftyplants – An award-winning nursery from the North West, offering one of the largest selections of Tillandsia (air plants), along with a great selection of bromeliads, cacti and succulents
Plantagogo heucheras – Growing plants for more than 25 years, they are regular at the RHS Flower Shows including RHS Chelsea and have received numerous RHS Gold medals. They specialise in Heuchera, Heucherella and Tiarella
East of Eden Nursery – Situated in the picturesque Eden Valley, the nursery specialises in geums and has the largest collection in the country
For the love of sweet peas INC The National Sweet Pea Society – Joining us with a selection of Lathyrus species and seedlings of mixed Spencer and Old-Fashioned varieties (sweet peas) they will be returning later in the year for the National Sweet Pea Society Late Show
Hare Spring Cottage Plants – Holder of a National Collection of Camassia, Stella, also has a healthy obsession with Sidalcea and Uvularia and is another regular at the RHS Flower Shows
Garth Cottage Herbs – Specialist growers of culinary herbs and has more than 17 varieties of basil, and more than 40 varieties of mint and thyme to name a few
Leafy Lytham Garden Hub - By Greg Anderton – Greg started Leaf Lytham in 2006, not only do Greg and his team share a passion for gardening, they want to share that passion with everyone
Plant Heritage North West – we will have a fantastic display, will be able to chat with members and find out about becoming a Plant Guardian and how you can help keep some of the rarest plants in circulation.
H.W.Hyde & Son – A family run business dating back to 1926, specialising in Lillies
Hoyland Plant Centre- Agapanthus and Tulbaghia National Collection Holders – Multi-award winning RHS Master Growers of Agapanthus, Clivia, Tulbaghia, Nerine, Amarine and Dierama, this small family run business have been growing and showing for the past 25 years

Saturday 1 April
11am–12noon: Vicky Fox – All things Huchera
Sunday 2 April
11am–12noon: Stella Exley – Camassia In your spring garden
2pm–3pm: Nathan Heywood – A step-by-step guide to planting
Space for the talks and demonstrations is limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
