Hello new likers and followers as it’s a new year I thought I’d reintroduce myself so let’s get acquainted.
My name is Emma and I’m a qualified accredited Tour Guide who left a steady job with the NI Hospice early last year to become a Tour Guide and I’ve loved every minute! I was working for a few different companies and decided to launch my own walking tours as well so Wee Walks Belfast was born and although I’m currently doing walking tours related to women there are other things in the pipeline 🤫 I am a member of Tour Guides NI and all my tours are fully insured through them so I can deliver my tours on a private basis for small groups as well.
I’m happy to answer any questions or you can drop me a comment to just say hi.

Many people forget that the Representation of the People Act of 1918 didn’t just give women over the age of 30 the right to vote, it actually gave another five million men the right to as all men over the age of 21 were entitled to vote regardless of property ownership.

The surrounding area may have changed out of all recognition, but the Longbridge Stone shown in the image & published in the Belfast Telegraph in 1923, can still be seen today in the same spot at the Albertbridge Road & Castlereagh Street junction

If I’ve got a firm booking then WeewalksBelfast will do the tour even if it’s only for one person but as I also work for a few different people if someone asks and I don’t have a firm booking I’ll take the work!
