I was lucky enough to stay in here last year and highly recommend it for an experience you'll never forget! You could always tag on a stay in our shepherds' huts afterwards to make a weekend of it 😉

Meet the team! This is Marble, cleaning day supervisor. She sits on the windowsill watching to make sure we don't miss anything! She is much loved, particularly by visiting children, as she's super soft and loves to be petted by them.

Obviously we love a shepherd's hut and those of you who know me well know I navigate by good ice cream stops. Now how cute is this? ice cream in a shepherd's hut just down the road at Conwy Falls Forest Park!

I love to be outside whenever I can. That's why all our accommodation has outdoor kitchens and dining tables, blankets and firepits. The barns also have giant bean bags so you can even sleep under the stars if you want to!

It's on days like today I'm particularly glad we live in an old Welsh cottage with very thick stone walls and cold tile floors! Once the cleaning is finished, I'm off for a dip in a lake!

I think they they liked it here - in fact they liked it so much so they asked if they could stay on. Unfortunately for them we've got other guests arriving in the huts today. So they're having a 2 centre holiday and are staying in Owl barn tonight instead!

Happy May!! It's my favourite month of the year here in North Wales - because it's bluebell season! Actually I love all the wildflowers but the bluebells are starting to look spectacular.
Owl barn is STILL available this weekend and there's going to be some sunshine so if you want to catch a glimpse of Snowdonia at its best, you know what to do!

Fabulous day on Cnicht, the "Matterhorn of Wales" yesterday. A steep climb but rewarded at the top with stunning views.
And of course, the mandatory reward at the bottom in the shape of an ice cream! Those of you who've stayed with us know I rarely recommend a walk without a good ice cream stop on the way home !

Here he is - caught on the trail cam last night outside the barn! I'll reposition the camera to see if I can get a better view tonight.

This is right up there with some of the weirder things I've done in my time! Sledging trees behind the car in a kayak 😂. Thank you Moel Siabod Cafe / Caffi Siabod - Snowdonia - very grateful you planted these in a canoe - it made the move very easy!!

Crisp January day, one of the easy 1.5 hour strolls nearby.

I wanted to show you what a beautiful day it's going to be today so I set out for a walk with my camera on - but the gate was frozen shut!! So let's just admire the view and go back in for a coffee until it thaws! #frostymorning #bluskies

Don't just take our word for it - here's what a recent guest had to say about us - and sound up to hear the birds and the stream: "Beautiful and wild Beautiful, a wonderful place to be. If you are looking to escape the rat race, no internet and no phone, this place is magical. We opted for the Shepherds Huts- they are just perfect for all weather conditions with the indoor log burners, so cosy!! Every morning we would swing open the hut doors and sit in bed with a coffee and watch the wildlife roam by. Richard and Hazel were so helpful and friendly, and tell you all the best places to go depending on what you are into, for us it was paddle boarding in a beautiful mountain lake with the 3 peaks in the background. The town is only a 10min drive and a really good spot to grab something to eat. Try out the Alpine coffee shop!! Overall truly fantastic, didn't want to leave!!

We had a new visitor today, a hummingbird hawk moth. Enjoying the flowers outside the barns.

🦡🦡🦡Well hello there! It's wildlife central round here! Here are two badgers having a good snuffle round right next to the shepherds' huts. The huts are a great base for wildlife spotting - hares, owls and kites are regular visitors - let's hope these two stay too. 🦡🦡🦡
