Escape the ‘CHILLY’ Concrete Trails of life in the Algarve with A Quick Release Holidays - March 2015. Discover the tranquil village of Alte, a hidden treasure pot of single track hidden in the Algrave hinterland that not many mountain bikers know about. There are a wide range of trails from silky smooth to rocky single track. T

he trails are mostly undulating and vary as AQR take you to different areas across this part of the Algarve. Like all A Quick Release Holiday biking adventures you will be at one with the trail and very rarely meet another biking soul, let alone any walkers...just a farmer or two and the occasional goat. Please note that the trails are cross country, trail and at times even 'enduro'...we like to call it mountain biking. The Algarve offers some some great descents and fun flowy single track, plus technical riding for those who like to be challenged...however this is not down-hill territory and a light weight trail mountain bike you can pedal is recommended. AQR also offer a road cycling week for those of you who prefer quiet tarmac roads and March spring time warmth. France

Another new Gravel from Ribble Cycles rolls out the workshop. This time SRAM road SRAM MTB groupset mix of Force and XX1 Eagle with oilslick components. Zipp 101 carbon Moto wheels running Maxxis UK Off Road Ravagers and Tubolight inserts again. And of course Hope Technology Ltd brakes, discs and Bottom Bracket for that purple! It's already got mucky 👍.

New year, new paint on this Ribble Cycles Gravel SL thanks to Fatcreations and . Then wrapped in RideWrap custom frame protection kit and RockGuardZ frame protector.

The rest is SRAM road Force AXS and Zipp Firecrest wheels with Tubolight tyre inserts.

Hope Technology Ltd brakes and pedals with saddle and bar tape.

A series of very nice Yeti Cycles UK bikes have gone through the AQR workshop in recent weeks. Each time having an Invisiframe Gloss wrap applied to protect that Turquoise paintwork and lacquered carbon. Each bike rolled out like the day they were first ridden 😁.

AQR is back! For the last 20 years Ian Potter has focused on Bike services, coaching and holidays. As we all know its been a bit rocky since 2019, but 2023 sees AQR back initially focused on Bike builds, maintenance, upgrades and repairs.

Now based in the Ribble Valley under the stewardship of Rob we are already taking bookings and seeing Road, Mountain and Gravel bikes through the new workshop. We can collect your bike, meet up of have a chat about what you need - its a personal service rather than a high turnover shop. Consider us your bikes best friend!

The grand plan is to continue to service our existing and new customers Bike needs and from 2024 we will announce some proposed dates for Pyranees bike holidays again.

Until then whether its a winter commuter or a racing weapon please drop us a line with anything we can do to help you out.
