Awesome day down at Kielder Forest with and for the opening of upgraded (after Storm Arwen destruction) trails.
Lovely flowy non-technical (but steep in places!) routes suitable for all cycles πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

They are simply off-road view-tastic cycling goodness.

I wish autumn lasted longer. I suspect the storms that are due over the weekend will wipe out most of these leaves.

Day 1 guiding the last trip of the year - blinding low autumn sun, lashing rain, sub-zero wind chill, ominous grey clouds, bright golden foliage, double rainbows, flashes of blue skies, snow topped mountains.

Booking guiding in October is always a bit of a risk. But today the weather was kind to us (considering the forecast!) And we got sunny spells in between rain and hail!
I always get excited seeing snow on the hills πŸ˜β„οΈβ„οΈ

Neil Russell works tirelessly and passionately to offer adaptive riding opportunities for people in Scotland and to raise the profile and awareness of the sport. He truly deserves this award and recognition πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Unfortunately I was unable to attend todays award ceremony at Cycling Scotland annual conference in Glasgow. However, I am so honoured and grateful to have been given the award of:

Cycling Champion of the Year 2024

Its lovely to be recognised for the work I do with ARC but as you all know, ARC really wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t for the amazing support and encouragement we receive from Jane Wilkinson, Rosie Baxendine, Mike Thomas, Kerry MacPhee, Ani Barber, Robyn Wilkinson, Lynsey Barclay… and so so many other people. It’s been an amazing two years and as we go into our third year, it looks like things are going to be even bigger and better.

Thank you everyone for the award, the support and the enthusiasm for what Adaptive Riders Collective is all about.
