William had a go at replacing some decayed putty round one of our office windows. But we now know that magpies are attracted to putty containing linseed oil, as they’ve been pecking away all week and eaten all William’s handiwork 😂. So in the midst of a busy week which started on Islay and is ending with report writing, William googled and came up with a “solution”. See photo - look closely 😉.
When Matthew spotted the “solution” he said “hmmm, wondered why you were looking at cats online, but thought it’s just another Monday” 😂. Every day must be Monday 🤦🏻‍♀️

Recent visit to Barra for a DSEAR / SMARS review of an ammonia refrigeration system. Some sightseeing as usual and some great food of course. Boat journey not so good. 🤢

Over 2500 miles done in the past two weeks carrying out functional safety trip testing in various locations throughout the UK, all incident free 😇. Final vehicle charge of the week back at home, 200 metres from the office, and these 4 legged beauties triggered the car security 😂🐎.
A DSEAR review in a local printworks on Thursday and a bottling machine PUWER assessment on Friday. Then, a LOT of report writing 😩🤓 📚 📚 📚

All back in our newly painted office this week after the latest covid break 💃 🕺🏿. Boys are in North Wales tomorrow for a DSEAR review of chronic hydrogen production from light metal corrosion processes then back home for a DSEAR review of a hydrogen bus fuelling station in the central belt, followed by report writing 📚🤓. Nice to have you back Hannah, if only for a brief visit 🥰

We’ve been super busy, catching up on lots of training. Guys have recently passed CompEx Ex11 recertification (delayed due to pandemic), and also catching up on site visits. Most of December will be spent catching up on reports.

This week the boys are in Yorkshire doing a DSEAR review on the absolutely baltic North Sea coast ❄️.
Then they’ve 2 days training on CE / UKCA compliance before heading back home.

We’ve been lucky to have worked all through lockdowns using both MS Teams and, where absolutely necessary, restricted site visits.

August and September are all booked out for the following:

* Ignition hazard assessments in a gin distillery - Plymouth.
* Equipment inspection / gas release testing in the dairy sector.
* Earth bonding assessments - dairy sector.
* DSEAR training - MS Teams.
* Gas detection & LOPA / SIL assessments - semiconductor & wafer manufacturer.
* ignition hazard assessments - farming sector.
* DSEAR review - flexible packing supplier Dundee.
* DSEAR review - CHP plant Wigan.
* DSEAR reviews UK wide - refrigeration.
* HAZOP for water industry - MS Teams.
