We are excited to announce that we will be having an open evening on Friday 19th July from 6pm, we would love for you to celebrate with us. Glass of bubbly and a slice of cake on arrival.
We will then officially be open from Saturday morning at 9am!

Good Morning everyone!!

It’s set to be 24 degrees today and endless blue skies so get your bbq food ready and the suncream out it’s a perfect beach day or bbq weather!
We hope that it’s as gorgeous where you all are in the country.

If you are still thinking about a last minute break here then we have a Saturday to Saturday week available in two of our lodges - Maple lodge and hazel lodge.

Hazel is £745 and is a two bed one bathroom
Maple is £775 and is a three bed two bathroom.

The dates are: arrive Saturday 13th from 3:30pm to check out at 10am Saturday 20th ☀️ 🌊 🍹

All of our lodges have built in bbqs and area real home from home with so many nice little extras including a cream tea on arrival and we get you started with tea, coffee, washing tabs, all of our lodges have dishwashers so no slaving over dishes and we provide plenty of towels, high hairs and travel cots if needed (just let us know)

So pack your bags and come and join us!

July 13th is also liskeard agricultural show held at the merrymeet nr liskeard so if you arrive super early or if you are already booked - you can start your day seeing animals, craft tents, food stalls, rides and an ice cream.

Also come and say hi to our four legged friends during the summer holidays we will be here for pony grooming days and times to follow so watch this space!!

Weather is looking good today for harbour brewery’s bbq day open to all, holding competitions, it has a bar and I saw two big teepees so will report back this afternoon after a burger in the same of research of course 😉 if you arrive early they are a 5 min walk away see you there! 🍗 🔥 ☀️ 🍺

Our lovely neighbours up the hill at Harbour Brewery are having their legendary bbq challenge day on June 1st!! Can’t wait! If you are staying then it’s a short walk up the hill and has a super bar with their own beers, pizzas, everything bbq and Demos!

Made pasties yesterday with max for everyone xx decided on a mega pasty for Richard it was loaded with steak, a token bit of veg lol, I added black pudding and even a bit of bacon! Went completely rouge but it paid off! Don’t be afraid to experiment- I’m told it tasted delicious and as he ate the lot in one go I will believe him lol! The other one here was for Richy who has been on the farm for years since Richard was growing up and we would be lost without him xx

Max tucked in to grandma and grandpas and we dropped out a traditional mega pasty and a veggie one to Richards aunt and uncle while we got to play with their new gorgeous puppy!

Has anyone tried the original padty with a sweet end and a savoury?

Wow Cornwall has sone beautiful wildlife but this is a bit special! Having lived in falmouth I can highly recommend it as a place to visit while you are staying with us and pendennis castle is right behind where this cameraman was stood and definitely worth a visit. Free if you are a member of English heritage.

I am so bad at technology that I have just found this amazing photo of a pair of Cornish Choughs taken at Peranporth last October. The Choughs are a symbol of Cornwall and were extinct here from 1952 until 2001 when 3 settled, we now have a healthy population but, it is still a thrill to see them on ta coastal walk. Thanks for the photo Dave & Sarah

If you fancy working with a view like this we are looking for another member of our housekeeping team. Hours are 10.15 - 14.15 on a Saturday starting 23rd March and ending at the end of October. We are looking for somebody who particularly excels at cleaning kitchens, although you would be involved in cleaning throughout our log cabins and barn conversion. Being able to work under time pressure and attention to detail are a must.
You would be joining a lovely, friendly team and we do try have a laugh and look out for each other.
Rate of pay would be based on age and experience.

Don't forget that we are open all year and can do short breaks and your stay can start any day of the week until the beginning of April. We still have availability over the Christmas & New Year period.
