Eggbert & Daisy

Eggbert & Daisy Eggbert & Daisy is a family business run by us - sisters Gina and Laura. We work from our studio, based on a Cheshire farm.

With almost 20 years experience in the greetings card industry (& a couple of design awards to boot), we specialise in personalised cards and invitations. We've a passion for creating and a love of beautiful papers, boards and all things sparkly. Our aim is to make stationery that's a little bit different, using many of our own handmade embellishments & which is loved by each recipient. We are ver

y proud of the fact that we design, print and hand-finish all of our products ourselves, with the help of our small team, which includes our gorgeous Basset Hounds, Humphrey & Olive - aka Eggbert & Daisy.

CANCELLED - we know this is incredibly hard to believe given the past few months, plus today's beautiful weather, but tomorrow, Treacle Market Sunday, the forecast for high winds remains throughout our trading hours and just wouldn't be safe to go ahead, both for visitors, sellers and set up team. We're heartbroken to be doing this, but the weather is entirely out of everyones control. We've discussed all alternative options as always with ANSA (who set up the stalls from 4am) and have previously discussed with traders. We've been weather watching all week and have seen other outdoor markets have had to make this decision too. In order for our traders to make appropriate adjustments and alternative arrangements we're making this decision now and keep our Treacle community at the top of our priority. Please do support the makers, artists, bakers and chefs where possible, it's a difficult time for all at the moment. Keep an eye on the social media of traders and see how you might be able to help and remember just a card / cake / gift voucher can make a huge difference.
Next month will be bigger and better, we promise - we just need to practice our sunshine dances!

THIS SUNDAY āœØ We're back for 2025 with over 140+ amazing stalls, food, drinks, art, antiques, homeware, clothing, plants, records and so so much more. From 10am - 3.30pm, find stalls along Exchange Street, Mill Street, Castle Street, in the Market Place, the Butter Market, St Michael's Churchyard, upper Market Place and along Chestergate too. There's live music, we're dog friendly (just please, no puddles by the gazebos, collect p**p and use the bins and keep dogs on short leads or pick them up) and fully accessible - mind the cobbles but ask our lovely volunteers in high vis for help. Bring a shopping list but take your time and explore - there's always plenty of new stalls each month! But that's not all! Macclesfield is filled with fantastic shops, businesses, pubs, bars, cafes, museums, churches and more. There's so much to discover and a busy town to enjoy. Get those reusable bags and tote bags at the ready, arrive hungry and have the best day, we can't wait to see you all!

We hope that you are enjoying the festive period and managing to spend time relaxing with family and loved ones. We donā€™t want to interrupt a special time but we wanted to let you know that we have just launched our online sale where you will find 25% off selected Christmas items purchased via our website.
We want to thank you so much for your fantastic support over this past year. We really appreciate that times are still tough for many and equally so as a small business. Therefore every purchase, social media post like and kind review, really means the world to us.

URGENT UPDATE Unfortunately, due to yellow weather warnings, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Treacle Market. We've exhausted all possibilities of varying options to continue, but ultimately, it cannot be done. Safety is our top priority and together with ANSA who put up the stalls, we decided we just cannot continue with the weather warnings in place.
Please continue to support local businesses in town as they also take the hit of a cancellation, and share some love with our wonderful traders.
Sending love to all, team Treacle.

URGENT : TREACLE MARKET CANCELLED

Unfortunately, we've had to make the devastating decision to cancel tomorrow's market. Due to the continuation in the bad weather, most frustratingly the high winds, it would not be safe to go ahead. We work closely with ANSA who set up the stalls from as early as 4am, just when it's scheduled for more extreme weather, and to set up in the wind would not be viable. It takes hours to set up Treacle Market, so unfortunately as many often ask, we could not just set up later on in the day. Planning, organising, road closures and setting up are all incredibly important parts of the monthly market and are not taken lightly.
We're hugely devasted to make this decision but have our traders and staff safety at the forefront of everything we do.
PLEASE continue to support Macclesfield tomorrow - hide from the weather in cafes, bars and restaurants like , , , , and support shops and businesses that are open for Christmas shopping like , , , , , , Fiveclouds Tap & Bottle and SO many more.
Get in touch with those stall holders you love and order online from them (drop us a message if you need help with stall names!) and keep supporting them where possible.

It's a decision we haven't taken lightly with the run up to Christmas, and hope you all understand and continue to support our fantastic town and traders.

With love,
Treacle Market team x
