We had pirates in residence last weekend!
The Brixham pirate festival is the best weekend of the year - the whole town celebrates and if you’re not dressed up … you will feel out of place! 🏴‍☠️

Berry Head Hotel.
We love it here!

Great for an ice cream, a cream tea, moules frites, a bottle of rose or even Christmas Dinner (as we enjoyed recently!).
The setting, views and service are amazing. Walkable from The Chapel in 30 mins, or 1.5 hours if you take the scenic route via the coastal path.

We often stop to ‘spend a penny’ at these public loos behind Fishcombe Cove. It’s one of our favourite strolls from the Harbour. The cafe is always a welcome sight with a coffee, ice cream or beer to reward our exercise.

The cafe owners maintain the toilet block for public use. There are always fresh flowers, lovely soaps and welcoming messages, so it’s a shame to hear that the loos have been vandalized. The cafe owners are fundraising to undertake the repairs. We have made a donation on behalf of Midholm Chapel, so please feel free to do the same via this link if ever you have been able to benefit from these well kept facilities (or indeed if you plan to in the future!) x

There are also some great boat trips to spot wildlife - great fun and a fabulous way to see the colourful cottages that surround the harbour as you leave and return.

For any guests heading to Midholm Chapel this Summer - this is a great night. There were even Dolphins in the bay last week! Great value, chilled vibe and walkable from ‘home’ in about 35 mins x

It's offically summer holidays! ☀️

Which means sunshine, days on the beach annnndddddd Fishcombe Cove Cafe is now open 7 days a week!

From 10am until 4.30pm daily, bringing you bacon baps, bread bowls galore, pints (after 12pm) and as much banter as you like.

Don't forget Wednesday night is officially our Burger Nights, so you should probably join us for one of those too 😎

Awesome aerial picture of Brixham with the lido seawater pool and Berry Head In all its glory.

The lido is about a 30 min stroll from Midholm Chapel, through the port, along the quayside and past the marina ….. or you can take the scenic route via the coastal path and meander for about 2 hrs taking in the views as you stroll. We did both this year whilst staying!

One of our fave spots in Brixham and what an evening we picked to visit - Shoals overlooks the sea water pool with views across Torbay. It’s a cosy place with a fabulous menu and the very best views in the bay.

Very cool drone shot of Berry Head …. A must-do everytime we visit is the beautiful 5 mile circular stroll along the coast and headland to and from the Chapel. The reward of a Devon Ice cream at the Guard House cafe awaits!
