Last fitting on Friday but we’ll worth the wait. Gorgeous Ian Sanderson fabric made into a lightweight blackout lined pair of curtains and no , I haven’t forgotten to put the rods in the blind ! Client loves the relaxed drape for her Roman blinds. This one had blackout lining to keep out the suns glare

A little bit of revamping last week … firstly this pair of green linen curtains had a complete religning and we moved the trim to remove the sun faded edge of each curtain .
Then in another room the curtains could not be salvaged due to water damage so a completely new pair were made … just like that !

Last week was a busy one ! Lots of finished blinds and curtains off to new homes .
These 2 bedrooms underwent a complete redecoration, stripy blinds and cushions for a young man and then soft and light neutrals for his sister .

I love going on holiday but it’s wonderful to come home too especially when the garden is in full bloom. We had some brilliant housesitters who did a fantastic job with the watering . Unpacked now and ready to get back in my studio in the morning 😁

Enjoying a 2 week break from our busy lives in wonderful Northumberland . Lots of walks , beaches , cups of tea , old castles with amazing curtains …. ( Well I have to have a bit of a fix ! ) and a few cream teas and amazing plant centres that I am now banned from as we won’t fit it all in the car …apparently 😊

A final phase fitting today in the renovated cottage I’ve been working on with my clients. Prestigious embroidered fabric made cosy with heavy interlining and soft cottage top heading. I was treated to lunch as a thank you 😊

Something a little different but definitely worth posting . I bought this dilapidated garden seat on eBay last year at a bargain price thinking just a lock of paint would improve it 😊. But my very lovely but perfectionist husband decided it needed taking apart , replacing about half of the timber and then rebuilding . It’s taken a while and not quite as much money as buying a new one but he finished it yesterday 🥰🥰. Can highly recommend their outdoor range. And can recommend hubby but he’s not for sale 🤣🤣

And then I’ve really enjoyed working alongside builders and the client to finally finish this renovation of a village cottage. Final blinds and voiles fitted this morning in time for owners arrival tomorrow morning … phew just in time !
Looking forward to a nice long weekend before returning next week to discuss curtains for the living area

Nice and easy final fit today of this Roman blind and cushions in gorgeous William Morris Fabric . Lots of hard work put in by and many other trades. Cosy new bedroom for a very pleased client

And then in the opposite direction we fitted these curtains and Roman blind in a recently redecorated bedroom. Lovely Colefax and Fowler fabric and hung under a contemporary painted track ( expertly fitted of course by )
It’s so rewarding to see a room designed and completed to perfection. Well done and team !

I’ve had a bit of a week travelling around the countryside ….at least the snow has disappeared 🥶.
These set of 3 blinds were made in gorgeous Liberty Fabric and were welcomed by my client as the mornings are getting lighter.

Really pleased to fit these curtains today in a Sussex Beach house. 4m wide window overlooking the beach and a few scatter cushions to complete the look … yes that is the sea that close !

I have been working honestly !! Just waiting for fabric deliveries so in the small interval I managed to make these for me …only had the fabric for a year but happy to finally have our bedroom finished trim

Quick little fitting this morning for a neighbour of these 3 linen Roman blinds. They have been fitted onto wooden battens but with all the up to date safety features added 😇😇.
Just waiting for some bespoke curtain rails to be delivered and I can finish the room with some door curtains to match !

Next up was a reupholstered headboard for an attic bedroom. We recently fitted new blinds in here but this just needed a finishing touch ready for wedding guests this weekend. Stripped off the old fabric , reshaped the top and then used a simple gingham check to recover.

Been catching up with myself over the last couple of weeks so haven’t had much time to post …firstly these lovely Linwood velvet curtains and Roman blinds . Fitted onto new wooden mahogany poles. Client loves colour so chose a matching saffron coloured lining to blend with her walls 😊. And all fitted just before the snow arrived.

A little bit of make do and mend yesterday . These silk curtains and blind had fallen apart on the edges after 10 years of life. So we added a contrast fabric to the leading edge on the curtains and blind and removed a whole pleat of rotten fabric on the other edge. Plenty of life left in them now !

Another difficult corner with these 2 small windows above each other. There was already a curtain pole in situ so we made a full length pleated curtain to draw from left to right. Lined and interlined to keep out any winter draughts.

My client has been waiting since May for these blinds … not my fault at all 😊. Just trying to find a decorator to wallpaper the walls in this attic bedroom. This is a vintage Colefax and Fowler fabric and this relaxed Roman blind effect was chosen to dress the windows. We added a blackout lining and some contrast binding . A bit of a 1980s flashback but one very happy customer.

I do love a beam but sometimes that can make fitting blinds a bit tricky ! I had the help of my clients handyman to drill the brackets in this solid oak , we had to negotiate curved uprights and protruding walks as well. A few large scatter cushions to make now to “fill the space “ under the blind .
