Top Tips When Visiting Santorini
1. Take appropriate shoes! Santorini is a volcanic island and it is hilly. There are few paths that are flat so make sure you’ve got comfortable footwear if you plan on exploring the island on foot
2. It’s windy! If you’re visiting early in the season, definitely take a jacket as the evenings can get quite chilly, and those winds can gust up to 40mph
3. Stay on the south west of the island. Oia & Fira are lovely to visit but they are busy, tourist hotspots and the price is reflected here. We stayed in Megalochori, which is just 15 minutes from Fira and had some of the best sunsets on the island (in our opinion & the locals)
