See more of Thailand in this itinerary which takes you from the bustling capital of Bangkok, north to Chiang Mai where you will spend a night at a luxury tented camp where you will get to observe and learn about elephants before a relaxing week at a remote resort on the island of Koh Samet.

Begin with 3 nights in Bangkok where you can visit grand palaces and temples, or enjoy the city's famed nightlife. Head north to Chiang Mai where you will spend your first night at The Bush Camp. There are just 10 African safari-style tents here which were built by skilled local crafters. They feature an en-suite bathroom (each with a hot shower) and have exceptional views out over the forest towards the mountains.
This beautiful spot, which is run by Elephant Hills, known for their camp close to Phuket, introduces you to Thailand’s most famous resident animals (in a hands-off style) and the people that care for them: the mahouts.
Enjoy 3 further nights in Chiang Mai itself and spend time exploring the night markets or heading out into the stunning countryside surrounding the city.
Finish with 5 nights at Paradee, set in a remote spot on stunning Koh Samet. Stretching across the island, the resort has two beaches for both blissful sunrises and enchanting sunsets. To the east, Ao Kiew is a private sandy beach perfect for swimming, while to the west, you’ll find a rocky beach with quiet shores that welcome marine life, making it a snorkeller’s dream.

Top Tips When Visiting Santorini 1. Take appropriate shoes! Santorini is a volcanic island and it is hilly. There are few paths that are flat so make sure you’ve got comfortable footwear if you plan on exploring the island on foot 2. It’s windy! If you’re visiting early in the season, definitely take a jacket as the evenings can get quite chilly, and those winds can gust up to 40mph 3. Stay on the south west of the island. Oia & Fira are lovely to visit but they are busy, tourist hotspots and the price is reflected here.
