Hi all - been a while since we have posted. Been a busy period with lots happening in Charlestown

The Pierhouse has now reopened and next door the harbour side has opened as a craft beer house with a pizza oven.

With the odd gap between bookings we have been fully booked and October is almost full too

Still some spaces in September and we have just had a cancellation for August- this being our only availability remaining for Aug

Arrive 18th and check out on 23rd. 5 days🏖️

Maintenance completed early 😊

So we had blanked out 4 weeks on the Airbnb diary for scheduled maintenance and upgrades

Good news is they are zapping through it and are scheduled to complete in less than half the allocated time - well done tradespeople 😊🛠️ and thanks 🙏

So the diary is open again for March

Some high spring tides this week in Cornwall 😊✅

Fortunately no swell and winds to aggregate the water

I must admit whilst this is hard for businesses but of course they have seen it before Cornwall at this time of year is equally beautiful 😍

I priced a group last week. 8 people in March. Works out at £28 per person per night!! Cheaper to go away than stay at home!! And that includes council tax, heating and cleaning 🧹

Anyway the sun was shining somewhere today - 2 more bookings taken for summer 24

June and July limited availability- August good at mo…

Summer 24 - may not seem it currently but pre summer vibes will be around the corner soon!! 😉☀️

We are unseasonably busy and last week we took bookings for Xmas 24 and New Year 24/25. A good example of peak dates getting booked early. If you have any dates in mind please speak to us as soon as possible.

Last year saw our best year for referrals and for returning customers so thank you for your continued loyalty

I attach late availability for Feb for ease of reference. A great time of year for walking and getting some fresh Cornish sea air and then cosying up to the log fire 🔥

Part of any successful business is to stay relevant and modern

We are closed for next 10 days to replace the top floor en-suite. All equipment will be replaced with new but in a style so it retains that cottage culture which so many of our guests love and comment upon

The trend this year was slow to start with bookings coming much later than previous. Grab these 3 and 4 day peak breaks while still available.

Latest Update - 18th April 23. Three amends since original post

So fully booked for the Easter break 🐣but I am being asked about availability for rest of year. ( mainly up to summer)

We only use Airbnb and bookings direct with us so I thought I would give an update to current availability. Please note this is totally fluid and can change quickly. From memory last year we were fully booked from around May last year though to Sept

So as of now availability as follows:

April - 11 to 20th, & 24 to 30th

May - 1 to 9th, 12 to 18th, 22 to 26th, 29 to 1st

June - 4 to 14th, 17 to 21, 25 to 30th

July - 28 to 5th Aug - update - now sold 30th to 5th Aug. 2 days available 28-30th

Aug - 12 to 15th, 20th to 31 - now sold 24-28th Aug
Therefore 20-24th available and 28th to 7th Sept

Xmas 23 fully booked but new year still available. Update - New year now sold

Nice to see The Pier House Hotel Charlestown open again for business and some familiar smiling faces and that was the staff ! who seemed genuinely pleased to be back 😎✅

Alfie 🐶🐾 seemed like he had never been away 🦴

With guests arriving @ Charlies Holiday Cottage - Charlestown, Cornwall tomorrow I am sure they will be equally as pleased 😀

And with the weather set to improve ☀️⛱️ it only leaves us to wish all a happy start to the Easter break 🐣👍…..

This headline sounds a bit odd but loved our time in Jail 😳🙊

Well worth a visit (Bodmin Jail )

We stayed at the hotel and then visited the historic and animated tour of the jail - so spooky 👻

And only 26 mins or 12 miles from Charlies Holiday Cottage - Charlestown, Cornwall

Am just updating our ‘things to do section’ on our cottage listing via Airbnb

Last month we added an electric charging ⚡️point for our EV customers 🚘and now we have added Sky Sports to our existing SKY TV 📺 package which includes multi room

So for you sport fans you now have it all in one place!! Luxury spacious character cottage with all the mod cons 😎👍💻👾

Unfortunately we do not supply the Beer 🍺

You will have to walk 1 minute to the nearest bar/restaurant or 3 minutes to the beach!!
