The world-famous, ten day Cheltenham Literature Festival starts on the 4th October and Wesley House offers the perfect place to stay, whether you're visiting for one night or all ten, with all the home comforts you need and a great central location.

The school holidays are almost at an end - some of you will no doubt be relieved!

But the late summer and early autumn can be a great time to visit Cheltenham. The summer heat is less intense, there are plenty of end of season sales on and with the children back at school, everything is a bit less frantic.

As well as shopping, eating and visiting the beautiful countryside in the county, September brings us the Cheltenham Internation Film Festival, Cheltenham Food & Drink Week as well as the Heritage Open Days.

This month brings back Jimmy Carr to Cheltenham, with his latest show on at the Town Hall on 3rd July. But if sport is more your thing then you can watch the Wimbledon action on the big screen at the Brewery Quarter between the 1st and 14th July,

If you fancy music, as opposed to the sound of balls being whacked about, then there is the Cheltenham Music Festival and the 2000trees Festival going on too.

The 'cheese-rolling bank holiday' (as it's unofficially known) is now over and we're almost into June. Hopefully someone will tell the weather!

June brings a range of events to Cheltenham. Starting on the 31st May to 2 June, with the Wychwood Festival, held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The annual Cheltenham Science Festival takes place Tuesday 4 – Sunday 9 June, in Imperial Gardens and various venues around Cheltenham

On 14th-16th June The heritage Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in the Cotswolds and the North Cotswold branch of CAMRA to bring you the 22nd Ale & Steam event. Why not join them and relax with a pint of real ale or cider while watching all the action on the rails.

Then there is the Food & Drink Festival on ther 21st-23rd June at Montpellier Gardens.

It's May already and slowly the temperature is rising - finally!

The start of the county's summer events begins this month with the Cheltenham Jazz Festival; the Wychwood Festival and the Cotswold Festival of Steam at the end of the month.

And you couldn't get a better place to stay for any of those than at 1 Wesley House. It's a luxurious home from home and close enough to easily pop into the centre of Cheltenham or as a base to explore the Cotswolds.
