Day 3 of Lapland Paradise ❄️☃️ We woke up to the most beautiful sky with a mixture of pink,purple and blue 🌈

After breakfast we were on the move again to view Inari, another hotel in the Wilderness group. Inari is set overlooking a lake with stunning scenery and has a truly magical feel about it 💫. A great mix of accommodation types with cosy log cabins 🏘️, Aurora suites 🛖, panoramic cabins and hotel rooms 🗝️

I was very excited to see the new villa, a client favourite and it did not disappoint, sleeping up to 8 guests with an open plan kitchen and living overlooking the amazing lake, sauna, hot tub, 3 bathrooms and 3/4 bedrooms. Still no need to cook as meals are taken in the cosy restaurant 🧇🍴

Next stop and our final destination for today was Juutua just a 5 minute drive away and voted best restaurant for 2020. The rooms here are more hotel style, no cabins but feel cosy, nestled within the forest over looking lake Inari. The food lived up to expectations and we had a delicious meal made with locally sourced ingredients including the amazing local Cloudberry jam ☁️🍯

After dinner we were lucky enough to try out the sauna and hot tub overlooking the lake and experience we will not forget we even got to have a chat with the local Sami tribe passing by.

Day 2 took us 20 minutes from Saariselka to the prestigious Wilderness Hotel of Muotka which is completely cut off from the rest of the world and surrounded by wondering wild reindeer and beautiful glistening snow! Again, guests can enjoy the magical activities this resort has to offer including Santa at Christmas and this is where we enjoyed the most amazing Aurora sights 💚🌈💫

This boutique wilderness hotel has log cabins for up to 5 guests, panoramic cabins for 4 guests, semi detatched chalets for up to 8 guests between the two rooms, Aurora glass roof cabins and hotel rooms to give every guest the perfect experience ☃️❄️

We were invited on the Aurora Camp and rode in a sleigh driven by a snow mobile to a rustic kota in the middle of nowhere with firewood, fire pit, drinks and marshmallows to hunt for the Aurora. At -22 degrees we definitely needed the hot chocolate, 3 pairs of ski socks and 6 layers but it was sooo worth it to see the amazing Northern Lights!! 💚💫

Definitely 5* for this hotel and experience in the wild!!! And all boookable through us at Happiness holidays!

Night 1 spent in the lovely Northen Lights Village staying in a cosy Aurora Glass Cabin just a short walk from Saariselka. We had a quick delicious dinner followed by a snowmobile adventure to hunt for the Northern Lights in the wilderness. The following morning we were up early and whisked for a morning 10km Husky sled as the sun rose. The ombré sky is truly magical in the January mornings!

Saariselka has a small centre very north of Finland, just a quick 30 minutes from Ivalo airport and offers a plethora of restaurants and bars, bowling, and a 23 run ski resort ideal for beginners or pros.

The amazing thing about the Northern Lights Village is it feels like you’re completely in the Wilderness but you can walk to the local amenities above in 10 minutes. Lots of activities on offer here including northern lights activities, snow mobiles, huskies, skiing, hot tubs and saunas and Santa activities in December! Families are welcome all winter with so much to see and do!!
