Garden maintenance lakefront style! He's not fishing, he's spraying the reeds to stop them taking over. It's safe for the marine and wildlife and anywhere the birds have nested are left to grow. The swans wanted a closer look so he had to stop whilst they satisfied their curiosity- he didn't fancy having to run away from a protective Swan mama with all that gear on! This is a carefully controlled process requiring approval from the UK Environment Agency and carried out by NAAC contractors

New parking arrangements at the marina!

Premier Marinas has implemented barrier access controls at Chichester Marina to monitor access and enhance round-the-clock security at the marina.

All visitors to the marina will be entitled to 2 hours of FREE parking, any additional hours will need to be paid at one of the two pay stations. Please see below for tariffs 👇

Up to 2 hours – FREE (no need to validate ticket)
2-3 hours – £1.00
3-4 hours – £2.00
4-5 hours – £3.00
5-6 hours – £4.00
6-24 hours – £6.00

Wildlife use of the jetty landing pad for birds has been somewhat tentative! There's still something to add that may help! We had the option to paint the jetty to match the main deck but we think the rustic finish suits the birds better! Maybe they need a ramp out of the water.

Phew we've had some wet and stormy times this week but at last our wildlife landing pad is nearly finished! We may put a little house on it but there's one finishing touch left to add beforehand - watch this space!

Ah it's hard work checking out local experiences for our guests to try! This evening we checked out Rocking Horse Chichester - personally we're not fans of factory pre-mixes and love a handcrafted cocktail in cosy surroundings and the Rocking Horse has it all. Fabulous cocktails 🍸 complete with knowledgeable, friendly owners. Keep an eye on our website for some of the private cocktail experiences they can offer our guests!

If you visit us at the right time if year (around now!), you can see the bluebells in Slindon Woods - just a 15-20 minute drive from Chichester Lake Lodge. There's 3 National Trust carparks there to choose from. Naturally beautiful and a great photo opportunity for your friends, family and pets!
