The Old Mill in Lower Slaughter is an absolute must-see when visiting the Cotswolds.
Mentioned in the Domesday Book and rebuilt in the 1700’s, it is undoubtedly one of the prettiest and most historic buildings in the region.
The mill has been here a very long time, changing size and shape over the years as the various owners developed the building and its grounds.
Today, it is privately owned but will be reopen to the public in around 12 months time after a much-needed refresh has been completed.
Until then, you can grab a quality coffee and a tasty treat from the kiosk pitched outside the mill. Mention Local Compass and you’ll be in for a treat too!
