If you are having a rubbish time, listen up!

Today the weather is wild so I run, why, because it makes me feel good. I've had a lot of crap to deal with this past year. But I've made a choice now, how I react to bad things.

We don't have a choice what cards we are dealt but we have a choice how we react to them! Everything will pass.
Distress, anger , turmoil, it's all wasted energy and won't change anything. So I choose to focus and hit those problems head on, kick those mother @ #$%ing problems in the face! 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊

My motivation is my boys and my own self worth. I hang on to that.
I've just ran up that geet massive hill at mine, and the wind was at my back pushing me up it and Maxi Jazz blasting my eardrums !

Just don't be beat down, take the little wins each day, do something that makes you happy and enjoy being you. 😉 x

This article was written for the NHS trust website and appeared in the Chronicle and Northern Echo today.
I will always keep running for my own physical and mental well-being, but I always advocate to others just get outside into nature!
It really helps, it was always a massive help to Marc Tomlinson and I'm sure so many others could benefit from it too. 💚

As the end of the year is near I thought it only right to post an update.
As some of you may know these last few months have been the hardest yet when my life was turned upside down with the sudden and untimely passing of my husband Marc.
I was unable to work. My focus, as always , was to make sure my two boys are ok.
Christmas has been hard but I have tried to make it the best I can for them.
I am so grateful for my true friends and family who have and continue to support me.
To all my followers, thank you.
The road ahead is so uncertain but I will never stop striving to give my boys the best life I can.
I do know that being in nature is one of my true loves and has helped me so much in the darkest of times.
So never give up, keep going and embrace the love and healing of nature. 💚

🍁Great to be back this term and what a busy session we had! At Conkers Life parent and child sessions.
Lots of new faces , some old and loads of fun.
This week we :

🌿 Made nature faces
🌳Explored our new surroundings
🍀 Learned about the greedy fox and the crow
🍄 Foraged for blackberries and harvested plums in the orchard!

Yesterday James and I visited Lanchester Rd Hospital. This is where the mental health crisis team is that I'm running for at GNR22. The team are amazing and I am so grateful for what they do.
The funds I raise will be used for wellbeing packs for the staff as a thank you for all that they do ❤

At the hospital they have a woodland walk in the grounds which can be used for staff and patients. Here we found this lovely wooden sculpture where we paused to have a little look. It made me feel grateful for Nature and all its healing properties. 💚

I'm also running to raise awareness for Mental Health. Highlighting the importance of looking after ourselves and each other.

Running has helped my own mental health aswell as giving me a physical boost and a focus. I know through my own life experiences I have become more resilient, strong willed, determined and I never give up. 🙏

I would be so grateful if you can share my post. If you can donate please do. Know that you are not alone, there is always hope and in the wake of a new reign we have much to look forward to.

🍀What a great day we've had today with Andy on his forgaing course at Andy's outings, bushcraft and foraging !

🌱We covered 27 different types of plants and trees found in the ancient woodland , amazingly on our doorstep. Learning about both medicinal, practical , and some surprising uses. I took so many notes! 📖

☘Andy enlighten us with his cooking knowledge too on the Campfire , the Doc leaf and butter fried tasted so good! 🔥🌱

🌱We will definitely be back to learn more from this very knowledgeable, lovely guy . We've has the best day, thank you Andy! 💚
