We're taking a break to relax and recharge to make sure we're fully fit to help you enjoy happy holidays with us throughout the spring, summer, autum and winter to come.
We are very fortunate to have fabulous friends who will be looking after everything, and everyone here - no animals will be left unsupervised!!!

Happy arrival anniversary to our gorgeous Boo Boo ❤️❤️❤️

Boo Boo was rescued from the UK primate pet trade 17 years ago today 🐒

Boo Boo was kept in a small cage at the bottom of someone's garden for 6 years. When she arrived at The Monkey Sanctuary she was overweight due to a poor diet and lack of space to exercise, she displayed neurotic pacing and other abnormal behaviours as a result of severe boredom and stress, and she had very poor social skills.

It took Boo Boo many months to figure out how to properly interact with other monkeys, as she had been denied this natural progression as a youngster, but over the years she has learned a great deal from her monkey friends.

Boo Boo is an energetic, slightly chaotic monkey who is very excited by everything. She LOVES food and is often the loudest and most recognisable voice up in the rescue centre at feeding times, doing her biggest hoots for all to hear.
