Considering I was robbed of £38,000 + basic womens pension from 2015 to 2021, 6 years I'm not impressed with a thousand or two! Surplus pension fund until 1980s Thatcher decided to spend it. Surplus was because first time working class women worked full time & went back to work full time during & after raising children = Surplus ready for us to retire at 60. Look up why women were allowed state pension at 60, because of many years being carers for children, parents, relatives. That didn't change in my life! My mothers generation were expected to stay home be a housewife, have children whilst the husband provided income. My generation of women have done caring role for many years, had children, worked fulltime, became single parents, provided income & care. Office worker, shop workers, hairdressers, cleaners, all low paid & rarely ever offered pension scheme! Poorest section of society is women over 65. So government think its right to rob us of 6 years pension to male us EQUAL to whom?? Victorian servant?

We must stay strong and committed to achieving justice for 1950s women. Who is with us? - no time for apathy. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/over-13000-waspi-women-die-33333765

Today we’re raising a glass to Earth Day, celebrating and showing appreciation for this beautiful world we live in and this Island we call home.

This year's Earth Day topic is ‘Planet vs Plastics’, raising awareness around the commitment to end plastics for the sake of human and planetary health, demanding a 60% reduction in the production of all plastics by 2040.

Here at the Isle of Wight Distillery, we pledge to create spirits in a sustainable, community-minded way. This includes ensuring we are plastic-free wherever possible. Did you know our neck seal around the cork of our bottle is made from compostable potato and corn starch? Even the paint and neck label are completely plastic-free. We’re also mindful of briefing our suppliers to ensure they’re reducing and reusing packaging when transporting our bottles.

This Earth Day, we invite you to join us and the rest of the world to call for the end of plastics, to build a plastic-free future for generations to come.

Today we're celebrating with our latest blog... sharing some of our favourite places for Afternoon Tea on the Isle of Wight!🫖🧁

Dating back to 1840 when Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, introduced the concept of Afternoon Tea at 4pm when dinner wasn't served until 8pm, Afternoon Tea has become a quintessential British passtime.🇬🇧

Now, it doesn't matter what time of day you fancy a spot of Afternoon Tea, with a selection of tasty sandwiches, freshly baked scones, lashings of clotted cream and sweet, delicious jam, plus a range of exquisitely presented pastries, all washed down by a satisfying cup of tea; it is most definitely a ‘must do’ experience when visiting the Isle of Wight...

The Government watchdog, PACAC, has written to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride, to ask for an update on the Government's response to PHSOmbudsman's report into the communication of state pension age changes to women born in the 1950s. Let’s hope they get a prompt reply.

225,000 people signed the open letter to Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt, calling for a debate, with a clear demands for what's needed. The pressure continues to compensate WASPI women and come forward with a formal proposal on how that will be done. Thank you to all who signed the letter. These things matter.

What are breasts for?? If a mother allowing her child to suckle upsets you (for some perverse reason) don't look! 🙈
