Self-Catering Cottage
This wonderful end-terrace Victorian coastal cottage, built by one of Queen Victoria and Albert’s Osbourne House builders to commemorate Victoria’s Jubilee, is a five minute easy walk from the bustling sailing and seaport high street of Cowes on the Isle of Wight and is situated next to the National Cycle Route 23. Perfect for friends and family looking to explore the island
while being close to one of the islands most popular shopping and dining destinations. 117 Jubilee Cottages has been thoughtfully upgraded to a high standard for your comfort and enjoyment. The front door opens into the cosy sitting room with comfortable seating and a Smart TV, which leads through into a dining room with doors opening out into the south facing patio garden. The galley kitchen is well-equipped with everything you should need for your self-catering holiday, but with so many amenities right on your doorstep you may decide to leave your culinary skills at home! On the first floor there are two bedrooms sharing the family shower room, with a second flight of stairs leading to a further loft bedroom which includes a double bed and a single day bed. The garden provides ample seating and a barbecue area, ready to enjoy the Isle of Wight’s famous microclimate and with a gate onto the side path, the patio is an ideal area for cycle storage as it is out of sight. Cowes is famous for professional sailing, especially the Cowes Week Regatta and the Round the Island Race, not forgetting its stunning Victorian architecture, boutique shops, specialist nautical shops, vibrant pubs, cafés and restaurants. Enjoy a walk from your cottage along Cowes seafront, passing the Royal Yacht Squadron along Egypt Esplanade via the pebble beach with its fabulous sea view and all the way to Gurnard. There is always some form of spectator yachting activity to be enjoyed which can be extremely exciting during one of the many yachting regattas that Cowes hosts.
