Today I learned that choosing the right networking group is important and really worth the effort.

I attended my first ever breakfast networking meeting at 06:30 this morning by invitation from the Sussex BNI chapter which is made up of local business owners.

I was met with open arms, warmth, coffee, pastries and a real interest in me and my business. I was able to watch and listen to each member speak and I even got to stand up and do a 60 second completely unplanned pitch! Everyone listened intently and I was surprisingly applauded 👏🏻😊 We then had a lovely cooked breakfast, enjoyed some laughs and 121 time and they got down to some serious stuff too.

With so much still to discuss, my mentor Sylvester, offered to drop me home after nearly 4 hours of non stop talking and went on to offer to pick me up next Thursday AM to take me back to do it all again…..yes, all of the meetings start at 06:30!!!

So, all in all, I went from thinking I’d probably jumped the gun too soon, like literally within my first week to having a brilliant and positive experience 🙌🏻 I really like them and I think they like me🤞🏻

It’s 20:05 and I’m writing this from my bed!
I’ve been buzzing all day and I’m exhausted from the excitement!

I've been asked this question several times in the last couple of weeks, so I thought it would be good subject to start my blog with and also a brilliant reminder to myself for the future too.

Why did I choose to become a Travel Counsellor with Travel Counsellors?

Well, it really was an no brainer.

I decided it was high time to do something positive for myself that was missing from my life. The Travel Industry is where I learned everything I know, it's where I grew up and it's in my blood.
