I’ve been rather inactive on my accounts the past couple of weeks, really I’m just trying to refocus my mind and sort out my priorities. Faith is becoming such a big part of my life now, the more I read and learn and pray the more exciting and fulfilling it’s becoming. It feels life giving, purposeful, motivating and wholesome and I want to give it as much room as possible to grow👏🏼

I still love travel but I feel like the business side of things are distracting my brain from the actual travel planning and preparation so I think I just need to take a little step back. A step back from social media and other people’s travel experiences, it’s great to support others and learn and get inspiration but I think there’s a very fine line between that and then jealously and comparison of your own life which just isn’t healthy🤦🏼‍♀️

I want to be healthier too, mentally and physically, i’m preparing to go backpacking next year which will involve a hella lot of walking and so far all I’ve done to prepare is lie in my bed and look at other people doing it on my phone and now i’m in a place where I can actually break that habit I can see how unhelpful and toxic it is and I need change✋🏼

For so many years I’ve got very upset at the idea of becoming an adult and having to take on adult responsibilities and whatever but I never even anticipated this side of it, the mental changes. The shift in priorities and habits, the maturity, it feels good and right and I know it’s something that has come with age and with some serious soul searching and therefore i’m grateful 🙏🏼

I encourage all of you to start doing the same, too many of us cling on to our sesh lives and are terrified of growing up but we don’t have to be, I know that now. In other news PASTA THURSDAYS START AGAIN TONIGHT AHH! Finally will have all my favourite people back in my house eating out favourite food and in our new and improved beautiful back yard wooo 🙌🏼

Compared to bumblebees, honeybees have a smaller and less rounded shape. Whilst the Queens can sometimes reach 20mm in length, honeybees are commonly under 15mm long have a dark brown shade to their stripes instead of pure black.

Honey bees are only active between April and October, which is not because they hibernate. Instead, during cold months, honeybees cluster together within their nests to stay warm and survive from the shared food supply.

Most worker bees and drones naturally die just before wintertime. Only winter worker bees and the Queen Bee will hibernate.

Honeybees have fairly structured and organised nests made up of hexagonal shaped cells. On the other hand, bumblebees live in a reasonably unorganised environment with no apparent structure. This is because honeybee hives can home up to 50,000 bees and bumble hives only 400!

Gratitude is such a key skill to develop to promote healthy living and better your mental health. Just google its benefits, you will see countless studies on how it can literally re-wire your brain! 🤯

Sometimes in a world where focusing on the negative is the norm, to complain and bitch about people and work and society we forget to step back and realise how much we have to be grateful for🙏🏼

Being thankful in all situations has helped me to develop trust in God and helped me learn to be humble. While much of our gratitude is related to positive experience, we have to learn to appreciate the good and the bad. Thanking God in difficult situations can also helped me appreciate the good times even more. Personally I’ve found that having something to aim my thanks towards has given me clarity and perspective on the things in my life that I have taken for granted for my whole life❕

For so long I always woke up feeling so crappy, almost desperate for the day to be over before it even began. Dragging my life through the day, avoiding certain responsibilities, situations and people, wondering what was the point in all of it. Scrolling for hours on Facebook/Insta seeing what everyone else has that I didn’t and I’m realising more and more every single day that what other people have doesn’t matter, and that a change in perspective and a heart of gratitude for what I have is the key to a fulfilled and happy life. It takes practice and can be very difficult at times but all ready so quickly I am seeing the benefits 🤍

Hi everyone, can’t believe we are a week into a September already, can hardly keep up! 🤯

Me and my mum have been working hard to get the back yard beautiful and ready to start having my pasta Thursday nights with my boys again, I’ve missed it so much. We can now eat and just wander in and out the house in a comfortable and open space. 🤍

Feel like these past few weeks have been so crazy busy for me, mum and George we’ve barely had a second to just stop and think, i’m so grateful that prayer and meditation has become a part of my life so I can actually concentrate on my self and the present. It’s hard at first but once in becomes part of your routine you can hardly go a day with out it 😂

Late shifts at capita this week, finishing and 6:30 is draining, as soon as you finish it’s ready time and then bed time and the days over, feeling super tired but we got this👊🏼. Off to Southport with my mum and her friend tomorrow which i’m really looking forward to, well needed mini break. I hope everyone has a blessed and productive week, lots of love x🙏🏼

Set up a blog today, somewhere to get all my thoughts out of my head and share some of my travel experiences. I’ve always tried to write in diaries/journals but I never remember to do them on a regular basis and I end up forgetting them all together after a while so hopefully this will be more productive and interesting for me!
