Coronavirus Update: Reassurance for our Visitors 🌿

Public health is our top priority and we want to reassure you that our dedicated tourism industry is doing everything possible to ensure visitors to the area remain safe.

We’re working closely with local businesses who are taking all the necessary precautions to minimise the risk with regards to the Covid-19 outbreak. In light of this, many have already introduced special measures such as extra hand-washing facilities and social distancing plans to reduce the risk of infection.

Visitors can be reassured that the UK’s public health measures are world-leading and the tourism industry is working together in close collaboration, following government guidelines to closely monitor this fast-moving situation.

The tourism sector has always put you, the visitor, first and as we face these uncertain times we encourage everyone to regularly check the official UK Government website for the latest health and travel advice.

At the moment, the Peak District and Derbyshire is continuing to welcome visitors. It is a place where you can escape the crowds, get out into the fresh air, reconnect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors in Britain’s original National Park.

The area is fortunate to have miles of traffic-free cycling trails and wonderful walking routes to explore, acres of open space and stunning, self-contained places to stay.

We appreciate these are uncertain times and we understand it may not be possible for you to visit right now. You might have to reschedule your trip and plan a little further ahead. But rest assured, we’ll be ready to give you a warm Derbyshire welcome when the time comes.

In the meantime, please show your support for all the passionate people behind our accommodation providers, attractions and food and drink businesses who work hard to provide you and your families with experiences to remember.
