✨ Remember those blissful childhood days, spending hours (and hours and hours... No?? Just me then? 😊) poring over mountains of glossy holiday brochures; daydreaming and planning? ✨

I've always loved travel and exploring new places—the journey as much as the destination.

Whether it was a road trip to go camping in the South of France, or the excitement of the airport travelling to Austria in August and waking up on the first morning only to discover the huge mountain had miraculously disappeared overnight…

(What can I say? It was foggy and I was a child with a very vivid imagination! 😄)

I haven't always been lucky enough to work in the travel industry though.

Back in 2004, while at Utell and Pegasus Solutions (anyone remember them?), I was helping hoteliers in the UK and EMEA with their marketing and sales. Then, I received a phone call from an old boss, saying:

"I’ve bought a holiday resort in Thailand and want someone I know will look after my clients properly to take over my mortgage business – what do you think?" 🌴✈️

It was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse...and a whole other story!

But now, 18 years, 2 small children and a neurospicy family later, I'm back in the industry I adore, helping those who love to travel every bit as much as I do.

And this time I’m also working hand-in-hand with hoteliers and tour operators to make holidays accessible to EVERYONE.

Have to admit I loved the theatre of the Olympics opening ceremony - particularly Lady Gaga; the competitors on boats rather than walking around a stadium; the torch bearer and horse going down the Seine; and the stunning backdrop showcasing beautiful Paris 💖

Can’t wait to go back soon…

**Day 2 of School Holidays: Essential Chill Day Necessary🌟**

💖After the excitement of tennis camp yesterday and the inevitable exhaustion dealing with the end-of-term changes to routine, it was time for a well-deserved chill-out day at home. My youngest especially needed this - 💙🏡 I could see his anxiety building to beyond bursting point for the last couple of weeks in particular…

Staying at home or going away on holiday, it’s always essential for us to factor in a rest day after a previously busy day of activities. It makes a world of difference! 🌈 (Me included 😊)

While the children enjoyed a day at home acclimatising to the idea of the next 6 weeks, I joined Jet2 Holidays’ monthly Zoom call, featuring the stunning Cullinan Belek hotel in Turkey. WOW!!! 💖💖💖 Not 1, but 2 golf courses?!? And who needs summer when even their water park (with 13 slides!) boasts heated pools all winter long? 🌞🌊

Balancing work and family time is key – grateful for both today! 🙌
