As part of our new uniform launch in collaboration with our client at GPE, we have added a special touch to our final look with these colourful Standoutsocks ✌️🧡🧦!
We thought this would add some fun, encourage conversation with our clients’ customers and support in raising awareness for down syndrome.
Standoutsocks ✌️🧡🧦 have been inspired by Ross, a young man with Down Syndrome, a man not scared to STAND OUT in a crowd, and together with the help of his big brother, Stand Out Socks was created. Guided by strong ethical values, Stand Out Socks company takes pride in offering premium unisex socks that exude vibrancy, audacity, and a dash of eccentricity. The designs are not only a testament to individuality but also serve as a catalyst for increasing awareness of Down Syndrome and fostering inclusivity for people with learning disabilities.

Christmas Carols 🎶🎅🏻
This afternoon, some of our team took part in Christmas carol singing at a local residential home.
Everyone was really getting into the swing of it this year, showing off their best dance moves, topped off with a lovely mince pie🕺🏼🥧

As a company, our mission is to be net zero by 2030. Reducing our carbon footprint through various initiatives, such as our Client Portal, has significantly impacted the reduction of paper use across our business and that of our clients.
Croma Connect, our new innovative client portal, was designed to improve the overall service to our clients through fingertip efficiencies, transparency, accountability and also to help reduce our carbon footprint by meeting our paperless targets.
Over the last six months, Croma Connect has produced 103,327 reports, varying from DOBs, incident reports, first aid reports, handovers, risk assessments, ISO documentation, invoice statements and many more, to be uploaded digitally equating to 674kg of carbon reduction.
As we continue to innovate and digitalise, we hope to reduce our carbon footprint as a business further!

We are incredibly excited to announce that Kyle Fitzsimmons has been shortlisted at the 2023 OSPAs for ‘Outstanding Young Security Professional’!
Kyle has been working with Croma Vigilant since January 2021. Kyle started out his security career with the company at 19 as a Security Apprentice at Edinburgh International Conference Centre during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his time with us, Kyle has gained many new skills; he was trained in his SIA Door Supervisor license, CCTV license, first aid and customer service. Through excellent dedication, hard work and enthusiasm, he was quickly promoted within his role and is now based within St James Quarter, a vibrant retail-led lifestyle district in the heart of Edinburgh.
Kyle continues to show a natural flair for customer service delivery and leadership and has a bright future ahead of him.

We are extremely excited to announce that Graham Roach has been shortlisted at the 2023 OSPAs for ‘Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director'!
Graham has been working for Vigilant since March 2021 and is based in St James Quarter, a vibrant retail led lifestyle district in the heart of Edinburgh.
Graham started his career with us as a Duty Security Manager and through excellent leadership, hard work and dedication, he was quickly promoted to Site Security Manager.
Within his role, he oversees a team of 38 personnel, covering CCTV, service yard and a large team of Guest Safety Ambassadors and Duty Security Managers.
Graham has worked tirelessly to train and assist his team in ensuring the highest possible standards of service through the tail end of the COVID pandemic and back into normal business when restrictions were lifted.

This year’s theme for Recycle Week is ‘Let’s Get Real’ which challenges perceptions and myths around recycling. This is aimed at targeting contamination of recycled items and ultimately the goal is to improve our behaviour through better understanding.
We’re a nation of real people with lives that sometimes get in the way. Did you forget to put the general waste in the right bin? We’ve all been there, everyone chucks without checking occasionally. The reality is that wrong items can spoil the bunch and make a whole lorry load unrecyclable.
As a company, we work per the hierarchy of waste and recycle or reuse everything we can! So, let us all check the locator and get recycling right, It won’t take much to make a real difference. This Recycle Week, we’re getting real! Real about being better at becoming circular rather than linear when it comes to both our own recycling and as a business.
