About The Wild Rise Co.
Based in the highlands of Scotland Wild Rise Co. is a specialist fly fishing travel business, offering inspiring Packaged Tours as well as a Private Guide Service.
Our guests enjoy access to some of the most historic, exclusive and sought after fly fishing destinations in Scotland, in some of the most private, remote and beautiful locations. We specialise in classic Atlantic salmon fishing, spey casting and swinging flies. As well as "loch style" fly fishing for wild brown trout.
Wild Rise is founded on strong conservation principles and a belief in the importance of wildnerness and solitude in peoples lives. We also believe that as fly fishing guides we are more than just vistors to these places. With a deep understanding of the underwater environment comes respect and a sense of responsibility Consequently we operate a range of policies to minimise our impact, these include: light fishing pressure, 100% release, barbless hooks, low impact photography and electric outboards wherever possible.
Further to this 5% of every guide fee we recieve is donated to our conservation partner, Salmon & Trout Conservation Scotland. A charity whose work with government is doing a huge amount to protect our wild Salmon and Trout populations from exploitation and the impact of industries such as fish farming. In 2016 we raised over £5000 and 2017 wrote a cheque for £3,800 and raised auction lots of nearly £20,000 in value.
