Non-essential visitors are being asked to avoid the Coral Beach area near Dunvegan from Friday morning (6th September) for a week while road improvements take place.
Resurfacing works are set to begin tomorrow morning on a two-kilometre stretch of the C1229 road from Claigan to Dunvegan near the Coral Beach park cark until Friday 13th September.
The work will take place during daytime and long delays are expected.
The Highland Council informed Radio Skye that five haulage lorries will require access and egress from early Friday morning.
Access will be maintained for residents and emergency service, but the Highland Council's local roads team are asking that non-essential visitors avoid the area while repair works are being carried out on the road.
