I ask for a £5-£10 donation for adults to Reading charities (that change each year), I'm non-profit making, so far I have raised over £22,000 in 8 years I set up Terry's Reading Walkabouts (guided walks) in 2016 with the aims/objectives:-

1 To get fitter in a proactive way,
2 To pass on my love of Local history, culture, famous people, Myths, battles, gardens, architecture, gardens, buildings, an

d more in a fun way
3 I have lived here all my life (my parents before me) & feel that many people now living or travelling to Reading (RDG) do not know about or fully appreciate it’s history, facilities and opportunities e.g. the beauty & accessibility of the Thames, King's & Hills Meadows.
4 I’m a people person & greatly enjoy meeting, helping people. I cannot think of a better way of doing, then hosting my Walkabouts.
5 To raise monies for many local charities

So far I have raised over £19,500 for 18, mostly local charities in 6.5 years since I started!. I have taken out 2400+ people, mix of Residents & Visitors

So good to see this on BBC News this morning. If you come on my Walkabouts upto April 5th 2025, you will be helping Reading & West Berkshire MND & ABC to read.

My 3 Walkabouts on Thursday, Friday & Saturday (last or 2024) this week, have spaces & new dates are to be added for 2025 this week, so please sign up for them if you can.

We're supporting Leeds Hospitals Charity in their bid to raise £5 million to build The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.

I have now passed another great Terry's Reading Walkabouts milestone - my fundraising has now passed £23,000!

An amazing figure, not possible without you!!!

My many supporters (my wife Jackie for her help, understanding & for putting up with me!), FFC, Sponsors (you know who you are), Walkers, Richard Bennett, Helpers (back markers & my tail end charlie), researchers, charities & too many to mention!!

It is hard work at times, but so rewarding in so many ways!!

Excellent Biscuit Town Walkabout this morning. Such a nice mix of new & repeat walkers! Some good chats enroute!

Just made a few mins to watch BBC News coverage off Kevin Sinfeild MND brilliant challenge. You can support by coming on my Biscuit Town Walkabout on Thursday or in other ways. I will proudly be wearing my MND T-Shirt on Thursday & hope to make £2k in total for them this FY!

Sinfield is aiming to run more than 230 miles in seven days across all four parts of the United Kingdom.

OK everyone, it is time to look towards 2025 and for me to set up new Walkabout dates for January & February.

We are having a new Bathroom fitted in January, so I will be switching my Walkabout days to Tuesdays, some Wednesdays pm, Fridays & some Saturdays, so that Jackie or I will be at home when the builders are in.

Most dates are available at this moment, so I need your requests, all 20 current Walkabouts & Specials like my 45mins Prospect Park & my Rising Sun Triangle one.

Plus I'm open to doing some afternoons (Wed is good) & doing some 1 hour Reading Town Centre ones too.

Ok the secret is out, yes I have had a hand in Readings excellent Xmas nights (the best i have seen for as long as I can remember). The company who won the contract are partly based in Caversham & approached me to help supply ideas, here is one of my suggestions! Thank you to Rachel for sending me the photo & question.

A reduced number of people did my cold, but very interesting Reading Architecture Walkabout this morning, still raising £20 for Charities. We had some excellent conversations & a bit of fun, see the photos!! Thank you to Sharon for adding her photos and allowing me to share!!!

My next Walkabout is Reading's Architecture is tomorrow, it is going to be cold & sunny, but dry (which is much more important), so if you are coming wrap up we'll (I suggest 4 or 5 layers). Plus we are a small group, so I'm going to give those walking a short mid walk cuppa stop, if people want it & have time?

Just a quick thank you to RRC Members for donating £65 to my Remembrance period Walkabouts total fund raising for Scotty's Little Soldiers Charity.

I have amazingly raised £838 for this brilliant little Charity.

This is almost twice the amount raised for the period last year!
