Those little fox cubs are growing fast and their mum doesn't get a minute's peace! Thank you to two of our #Exeter our supporters for sharing this with us. RSPCA (England & Wales)
Two of our Exeter supporters sent us this amazing clip of two tiny fox cubs taken in their back garden.
Here's the story...
We saw the mum with an injured back leg during the day about the 21 of April and realised she could not scale our back wall to get out and hunt as we knew she had cubs in the den. We decided to put some cooked chicken just outside the den entrance hoping she would feed from it but as we did 2 tiny cubs came out squeeling for food so we fed them and rang the #RSPCA who came over the next day to take a look at the cubs.
They thought they were about 3 to 4 weeks old and they seemed to think mum had gone away and was not able to return because of her injury. They asked if we were prepared to feed them 4 times a day if they supplied the food and of course we agreed. The RSPCA came around with tins of puppy milk powder and dried puppy food enough to keep us going for weeks.
We also have kind neighbours who are donating puppy food as well as the food we are buying because they prefer wet food. A little fussy but they are thriving and the RSPCA keeps in touch to ask update on the cubs.

KMJ RESTORATIONS
OPEN DAY
IN AID OF DREAM-A-WAY
What a great day we had on the 13th October at the KMJ Restorations open day at the Swallow Units, Marsh Barton Exeter. This event was put on by John and Tina Reed who own KMJ Restorations and are true enthusiasts of vintage and classic vehicles.
At the beginning of the day the weather was against us and then the wind dropped and the sun came out. Then all the Classic and Vintage vehicles started to arrive. These ranged from Austin Sevens to Drag Racing and Hill Climb cars. We even had some lovely vintage tractors turn up and some Classic Z Cars Taxis on display. Other car clubs joined in such as the Ford Anglia 105E Owners Club and the Devon Vintage Car Club. This brought such a verity of vehicles to the event.
Everyone generously donated to the raffle and lovely BBQ which was in aid of Dream-A-Way. There was a choice of lots of wonderful cakes too. What more could we want.
Thank you to John and Tina for putting on this lovely event and to everyone helping behind the scenes.
